小伙伴们，第三篇故事出炉了，本来之前就做好的标题型思维导图，但是时隔差不多一个月，内容又忘得差不多了，于是再读第三遍，今天更新第三篇的故事大概。有兴趣的小伙伴可以看原文哟！！很多细节被我省略了的~~~我就是在做一个章节性的浓缩，算是大型的阅读理解！！！
Merlin Missions
#3 Summer of the Sea Serpent(水蛇的夏日)
内容简要：
1. After 8 months later, on Summer Solstice，Jack and Annie received their third mission written on a pale blue seashell from Merlin --- Journey to a land lost in mist, to a time even before Camelot. Merlin gave them the rhyme about how to complete the mission on the back of seashell, then they started as usual.
大约8个月后，就在夏至这天，Jack和Annie收到了魔法师Merlin给他们的第三个任务。Merlin把任务写在一枚浅蓝色的贝壳上，他们要穿越到比Camelot还早的时期，去到一座消失在迷雾中的岛上。具体怎么执行怎么做的方法都写在了贝壳的背面。于是乎，Jack和Annie像平常一样出发了！
2. The Magic Tree House stopped on a sea cliff, Jack and Annie coming to the edge of the cliff, they found there were three coves appeared on the opposite of the water coast. The first one was similar to the second one, the third one was special which was surrounded by a ring of bright green hills. According to the rhyme，Annie called the Water Knight for help, and then they got to the nearest cove.
魔法树屋落在了一座海崖边上，Jack和Annie走到海崖边一看。他们发现在海岸线的对面有三个海湾，第一个和第二个极其相似，第三个被水湾的周围环绕的都是绿油油的小山。跟着贝壳后面的指示，Annie大声呼叫水骑士，于是在他的帮助下，他们到达了最近的一个海湾。
3. According to the rhyme, next step Jack and Annie had to find the Cave of the Spider Queen and then pass through it. They easily found the cave, and entered it. Annie was so afraid of the spider and Jack told her he never let any monsters hurt her. When climbing the cave with barefoot, Jack and Annie found everything in the cave was so creepy, the water churned and gurgled around the chamber of the cave that they really wanted to back to the place that they came in, but they had no route of retreat. While they climbed higher in the cave, Jack found the Spider Queen, which was bigger than himself.
根据贝壳后的指示，Jack和Annie的下一步是找到蜘蛛女王的洞穴并穿越之。他们很轻易地就找到了洞穴，但提到蜘蛛就让Annie很害怕，Jack承诺不让任何怪物伤害Annie。当他们两光着脚爬进了洞穴，他们发现洞穴里的一切都令人毛骨悚然而且急流不断从他们进入的地方涌进，这让他们极度想退回去。但他们已经没了退路。于是为了避免被水淹没他们爬到更高的地方，就在那时，Jack发现了蜘蛛女王，蜘蛛女王比他们想象的大，比Jack还大。
4. Jack would haven’t let Annie see the Spider Queen, but it’s too late. Seeing the giant spider made Annie was in horror and screamed. The current water raised higher and higher, Jack and Annie didn’t have any way to run out of the cave. Once they fell into the water carelessly, they would be drown. The Spider Queen gave them two web ropes and went towards them to link the two ropes. During this time, Annie thought the spider just wanted to stick them, but Jack thought she was try her best help them leave. Finally, Jack was right. They passed through the cave with the help of the Spider Queen.
Jack本不想让Annie看到蜘蛛女王，但一切都太晚了，Annie一抬头便看到了巨型蜘蛛。这使得他一度恐慌和大声尖叫。急流越来越高，Jack和Annie已经不知道怎样才能离开这个洞穴。一旦他们不小心掉下去，他们就会被淹死。蜘蛛女王扔给他们两张蜘蛛大网并且朝他们走来帮助链接两张网。在这期间，Annie认为巨型蜘蛛是想困住他们，Jack确认为她是在帮他们离L开。结果证明Jack是对的，他们在蜘蛛女王的下穿越了洞穴。
5. After leaving the cave, Annie and Jack splashed into a blue sunlit sea. Annie was in relief, meeting two seals in the sea, and she played with them happily. Jack mentioned they had to find the Sword of Light before nightfall, but Annie ignored Jack’s words，who seemed to enjoy the beautiful time with the two seals and the gentle sunshine. Actually Jack also wanted to have a rest. The gentle sea breeze was so clean and fresh and Jack and Annie faded into a deep, peaceful sleep…
离开了蜘蛛女王的洞穴之后，Annie和Jack跳进了一片布满阳光的蓝色海域。Annie觉得如释重负，在海里她遇到了两条海豹，她开心地和他们玩耍着。Jack提醒说他们必须在傍晚来临之前找到“光之剑”，但Annie似乎很享受和煦的阳光以及和两条海豹在一起的时光而忽视Jack的话。其实Jack经历了蜘蛛洞事件时候也好想好好休息，最后柔和的海风太舒服了他们沉沉地睡去了，一切都显得那么平静。
6. In fact，the two seals were Teddy and Kathleen. Teddy was sent by Merlin who hoped he could help Jack and Annie find the Sword and Light. Kathleen was Teddy’s friend, a selkie, (for in the rhyme Merlin mentioned swimming with a selkie clothed in green.) a beautiful girl, lived in a cave up in the cliffs with her two sisters, and knew Morgag the Spider Queen, who could help Jack and Annie enter the Cove of the Stormy Coast. She told Jack and Annie the difficulty to seek the Sword of Light. Teddy encouraged Kathleen to be the first selkie to do the grand adventure.
事实上，刚刚的两只海豹是Teddy和Kathleen.Teddy是由Merlin叫过来帮助Jack和Annie找到“光之剑”的，Kathleen是Teddy的朋友，就是一个selkie(在Merlin给的提示中，他提到的要与一个穿绿色衣服的Selkie一起同游)，一个漂亮的女孩子，和她两个姐姐住在山崖的洞穴里，她还认识蜘蛛女王Morgag，她可以帮助Jack和Annie进入Merlin提到的暴风海湾。她也告知Jack和Annie要寻找“光之剑”的困难。Teddy鼓励她要成为经历巨大冒险的第一个Selkie.
7. Jack, Annie, Teddy and Kathleen had to get through the Jellyfish Cave before reaching to the Cove of the Stormy Coast（The third Cove）. Therefore, Kathleen used Selkie magic to make the four become seals，thus they can swim freely in the sea. To begin with, Jack wasn’t use to wearing the seal skin and didn’t believe everything Teddy and Kathleen told him, especially not believing Kathleen such a beautiful girl should be a people on the land and a seal in the sea. But when swimming with the three, little by little, he felt so free and ease and happy just like a real seal.
Jack, Annie, Teddy 和 Kathleen要到达风暴海湾，他们必须穿越水母洞穴。于是，Kathleen用属于她的Selkie魔法将他们四人变成海豹，这样他们就可以自如地在海里游了。一开始，Jack不习惯穿粘乎乎的海豹皮肤并且不相信Teddy 和Kathleen告知他的一切，尤其不相信Kathlee如此美丽的的女孩子竟然在陆地上时是人在海里时是海豹。但当他和他们一起游走在海里的时候，慢慢地，他觉得自己真的就是一只海豹，自由自如快乐地游着。
8. Arriving at the third cove, the four became human again and sat on the rocks enjoying the sun. Gradually, the Cove was covered by a cloak of the old gray ghost that was a name of thick fog, which made the cove so thrilling. Limited by the time, Annie suggested Kathleen and Teddy become seals again to jump into the sea to search for the Sword of Knight, Jack and Annie waited to catch the sword for seals had no hands to hold the sword which was buried under the bottom of the cove.
达到了第三个海湾，他们四人爬上岸坐在焦岩上享受着日光。慢慢地，一阵浓密的雾（因为太恐怖，被称之为古老灰色鬼魂的斗篷）笼罩了整个海湾，这使得一切都令人浑身不自在。由于受时间限制，Annie建议Kathleen 和Teddy变成海豹再次跳进海里去搜寻“光之剑”,她和Jack在海岸上等待着拔剑,因为如果都是海豹的话他们就没有手拿剑了。最后Kathleen 和 Teddy终于找到了埋在海湾底部的剑。
9. After trying their best, they finally pulled out the sword. But when they four were so happy that they had finished the task, the water began to shake, the strange shoreline started to move, a great roaring noise rocked the cove. Suddenly，A giant sea serpent’s body appeared from the water.
经历九牛二虎之力，他们终于将剑拔出了。但当他们四个为已经完成了任务而欢呼雀跃时，海水开始摇曳，奇怪的海岸线也开始移动，还伴有大声的咆哮阵彻着整个海湾。突然，一条巨大的水蛇的身体从海里浮了出来。
10. The sea serpent’s roaring voice made Jack and Annie scared. Teddy and Kathleen were stuck in their seals’ bodies who couldn’t give them any help. The sea serpent got them closer and closer, and asked them a ancient question, “what’s the purpose of the sword?” Jack and Annie thought that’s not a normal question. It was Jack who thought of the answer: It was not for fighting, not for defeating the enemies. It was for love, for peace. When finishing the answer, the sea serpent was quite still.
水蛇大声地咆哮使得Annie和Jack很害怕，Teddy 和Kathleen被锁进了他们的海豹身体根本出不来，他们相互帮助不了。水蛇不断逼近Annie和Jack并且问他们一个古老的问题：铸造“光之剑”目的是什么？Annie和Jack知道这并不是一个常规的问题，在大脑中搜寻了许久，是Jack突然想到Merlin贝壳后的提示。剑的目的不是为了战斗，不是为了打败敌人，而是为了爱为了和平。当回答完了水蛇的问题，她不再咆哮，反而变得超级平静。
11. The sea serpent got his answer, he became a hill around the third cove again. Teddy and Kathleen become human again, owning the sword and the rhyme, Jack and Annie could come back to their magic tree house. Teddy and Kathleen helped them build a strong bridge which could take Jack and Annie back to their world. Jack and Annie said farewell to Teddy and Kathleen, Teddy sent Kathleen back to her cave and had dinner with her sisters. It was a happy ending.
水蛇获得了她的答案，然后变成小山再次环绕整个海湾。Teddy 和Kathleen再次变成人类，拥有了剑和提示之后，Annie和Jack能够回到他们的魔法树屋。Teddy 和Kathleen帮助他两变出了一座很坚硬的桥，这座桥可以通往Annie和Jack的世界。Annie和Jack跟他们说再见，Teddy护送Kathleen回到她的洞穴并与她的姐妹们共进晚餐。这真是个美好的结局！
12. Seeing Merlin, J & A were told why the sword was buried at the bottom of the cove, why they had to finish the task on the summer solstice and also told them the sea serpent was actually the guard to protect the sword. Finishing the third mission, J & A came back home. When Merlin said farewell to them, Jack realized that Merlin was the Water Knight who helped them began their mission every time.
见到Merlin之后，Merlin告知他们为什么剑会被埋在海湾的底部，为什么他们必须在夏至日这天完成这个任务，还说了水蛇其实是“光之剑”的守护者。完成了他们的第三个任务，Jack和Annie便回家了。当Merlin和他们说再见的时候，他的手势让Jack意识到原来Merlin就是文章开头提到的水骑士。原来每一次任务的开始，Merlin都在指引和帮助着他们。
