Purpose
The purpose of Plan Business Analysis Approach is to define an appropriate method to conduct business analysis activities.
Description
BA approaches describe the overall method that will be followed when performing BA work on a given initiative, how and when tasks will be performed, and the deliverables that will be produced.
Inputs
The inputs is our needs: The BA approach is shaped by the problems or opportunities faced by the org.
The figure below gives us a high-level of overview of the inputs, guidance and tools as well as outputs.
Elements
Elements is to enable the BA work.
1. Predictive approach basically talk about where there is certainty. And it focus on changes, that's why it's called adaptive.
2. The level of detail required for a particular initiative can actually be a determinant of the approach you're going to adopt. e.g. If it needs lot of information, you may want to adopt a predictive approach. However, if it doesn't require so much detail to be able to implement, you can take adaptive approach.
