Before leaving for Cairns to go on a trip, I got a whole week to do whatever I want in Sydney. Actually, it was somehow embarrassing that although I’ve been staying around a year in this city, I had hardly given myself a chance to explore the local culture and people. Well, let us check it out!
Thanks to Joe’s company, I managed to have a fun and enjoyable city tour while being able to taste different styles of popular cuisine. Being a versatile pure foodie, I am ready to have a taste of nice food anytime and I almost have no allergies, which I take as an extra perk. The city tour involves a classic hiking route which starts from Sydney Opera House and ends at Hyde Park. In order to ensure that we have enough energy to support ourselves for such a long way, we took some yummy refreshments and it was apparently an ultimate feast for both eyes and stomach!
If I were asked what impressed me the most, I would say the atmosphere in Sydney is excellent! Firstly, I can enjoy the beautiful sunshine (Well, please remember to use sun cream for any outdoor activities to keep yourself from being burnt), fresh air (Just take deep breaths as many as you want) as well as clean water (filtered tapped water + alkaline option suggested). Secondly, there are also a number of public places open to the public such as museums, art galleries and parks without any admission fee charged. Last but not least, it is pretty convenient to live in this international metropolis thus everyone can get an easy access to any amenities (Yep, the precondition to enjoy them is surely having a solid financial basis).
Step by step, I believe I will embrace more pleasant surprises in my coming future!
