If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. –Luke14:26-27
In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. –Luke 14:33
Jesus Christ said that if the closest relationship in life conflicting with his demands must immediately choose to obey him. To be a disciple means to offer oneself sincerely to one—our Lord Jesus Christ. Dedication to a powerful God is not the same as dedication to a principle or movement. Our Lord does not proclaim a movement, but rather individual devotion to himself. To be a disciple is to be a faithful slave. Many of us calling ourselves Christians simply do not devote ourselves to love God. No one in the world knows how to Love the Lord unless the holy spirit pours out the love to people. We may admire and respect him, but we don’t love him. The only one loving Jesus is the holy spirt, who pour God’s love into our hearts. When the holy spirit sees a chance to glorify Jesus, it will take over your heart, your nerves, your whole personality and make you burn and shine in the love of the Lord Jesus.
Christians’ lives are stamped with “the natural moral creativity.”, so the disciples, like Jesus, are accused of inconsistency. In fact, the Lord Jesus is always the same of God. Believers should be consistent with the son of God, not the rigid dogma. When a man pours himself into dogma, God blows up his prejudices so that they will know to love him with all their hearts.
Dear God, How I need to see your majesty, your power and your glory. All we of us need your touch to make everything new and wonderful and to counteract any influence or standard that is not yours. May your presence make us clean and full of strength.
