be admitted to intensive care这个搭配可能有些陌生。admit在这里表示to take sb to a hospital, or other institution where they can receive special care接收入院;收治。经常的搭配是admit sb to/into a hospital。 Two crash victims were admitted to the local hospital.
If someone is hospitalized, they are sent or admitted to hospital使住院,送…
- 住院 be hospitalized/need hospital care

with covid-19中的介词with也来关注一下,with在这里表示because of a particular feeling or physical state由于〔某种感情或身体状况〕,比如,They were trembling with fear. Mother became seriously ill with pneumonia.
-
stand in (for sb)意思是to take sb's place代替,顶替(某人),比如,My assistant will stand in for me while I'm away.
- 加个连字符后,stand-in表示someone who does the job or takes the place of someone else for a short time〔职位或工作的〕临时替代者,比如,Gilbert failed to find a stand-in and so could not go to the party.
- deputise这里和stand in就是同义词了,很多相关报道中都用到了这个词,表示 to do sth that sb in a higher position than you would usually do担任代表;充当代理人,比如,Ms Green has asked me to deputize for her at the meeting.

seclusion和前面一点的isolation是一个意思,具体的解释是the state of being private and away from other people与世隔绝,隐居。

They love the seclusion of their garden.

unsettle很常见,意思是to make sb feel upset or worried, especially because a situation has changed使心神不宁;扰乱;使担忧。
Letting crowds of colleagues and acquaintances peer into your life can be unsettling, but it has one advantage: it opens up new opportunities for oneupmanship.
