All things happen in the world, changing all the time.
Through the study of the Buddhist classics, we understand the truth that “the human life is impermanent and the world things are impermanent”. All things happen in the world, changing all the time, and this change follows the laws of the generating, growing, deteriorating and empty.
The so-called “Generating, growing, deteriorating and empty” refer to the process from the birth to the demise of things, start from the reason to the cause disappeared. For this reason, in the first chapter of the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu told us clearly and thoroughly, “Tao” can be expressed in words. It is not an ordinary “dao”;“Name” can also be explained, it is not ordinary “name”. There is a universal “thing” in the universe, and it is in nature without a beginning or end. This “thing” can not only give birth to the world, but also can run the sun and the moon, and can grow everything. But this so powerful “thing”, we do not know what name it is called, it can only be strongly named “Tao.” which contains all things but does not have its own. Therefore, Tao is the only long-lasting and unbreakable thing in the universe, just like the void, no power can destroy the void. This is what the Buddhists call “emptiness”.
So the saints have already told us about the goals and direction of the human life, and our unintelligent beings can only follow the implementation.
As Professor Zhu Qingshi, a renowned academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said in his retiring speech, “When scientists proudly climbed to the top of the mountain, proud of them, they found that the religious masters of enlightenment were already at the top of the mountain, waiting for us long before.”As Professor Zhu Qingshi, a renowned academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said in his retiring speech, “When scientists proudly climbed to the top of the mountain, proud of them, they found that the religious masters of enlightenment were already at the top of the mountain, waiting for us long before.”
