Lesson 25 Do the English speak English?
I arrived in London at last. The railway station was big, black and dark. I did not know the way to my hotel, so I asked a porter. I not only spoke English very carefully,
but very clearly as well. The porter, however, could not understand me; I repeated my question several times and at last he understood. He answered me, but he spoke neither slowly nor clearly. 'I am a foreigner,' I said. Then he spoke slowly, but I could not understand him. My teacher never spoke English like that! The porter and I looked at each other and smiled. Then he said something and I understood it. 'You'll soon learn English!' he said. I wonder. In England, each person speaks a different language. The English understand each other, but I don't understand them! Do they speak English?

今天听到群里很多人都有习惯在单词里头加r,于是就复习了L跟R两个音标。
/r/无擦通音
发音要领:
软腭上升,封住鼻腔。舍身后缩,舌尖抬高,接近而不是接触上齿龈后部,舌的后边缘接触上臼齿。舌尖微卷,舌中部下陷。气流通过舌中心部分逸出,不产生摩擦。
/r/音位有三种主要变体:常体即齿龈后部无擦通音,浊擦音和清音化的擦音/r/。
常体/r/词首或音节首:read, road, arrive, variety或浊辅音(/d/除外)后面:bright, great, embrace, agree, 或作连接音a matter of fact, far way
浊擦音/r/,用于/d/后,如dry, dream, laundry.
清音化后的擦音/r/,用于重读的/p, t, k/后面: pride, tree, crowd, attract, increase
舌边音/l/
发音要领:
发/l/音时,软腭上升,封住鼻腔;舌尖与上齿龈发生接触,在口腔前方阻挡气流,只能让气流沿舌侧逸出,所以称/l/为舌边辅音。发/l/音时,声带颤动。/l/又称舌边无擦通音。
/l/音位有三种主要变体:清晰/l/,含糊/l/和清音化/l/
发清晰/l/时,舌前部要向硬腭抬起,音色接近前元音。这个变体出现在元音或者硬腭无通擦音/j/前:lie, let, aloud, asleep, selection, failure, million, William
发含糊/l/时,舌后部向软腭抬起,使舌身呈凹形,音色类似于后元音。这个变体用于除/j/以外的辅音前或词尾。

清音化的/l/出现在/p, k/后。为了与/p,k/的声带状态保持一致而部分停止声带颤动,成为清音化的/l/

练习感悟:
1. but I could not understand him.这句话听完之后觉得很简单,结果自己念,怎么都不能做到百分百像。
2.说了要把carefully跟clearly那种小心翼翼的生怕别人听不懂的感觉念出来,结果太刻意了,附近的单词反而受了影响,音调念得怪怪的;
3.怎么读都是差2s,为什么?最近都没有计算练习时长,所以不知道为了这两秒又读了多少遍,但是声音变得不好听了,就没有继续纠结了。用喉咙发声的毛病不好改掉,还是得多含水练习发声。
