1、Asia：亚洲

例句：Asia is the largest and most populous continent in the world. Asia covers around 8.7 percent of the earth's surface.（亚洲是世界上面积最大、人口最多的一个洲，它覆盖了地球表面积的8.7%）

补充：小数的读法

8.7→ eight point seven，25.03→ twenty five point O three，0可以念成zero或者O，如果是0.5，也可以直接省略0的部分→point five。总之小数左边照常念，小数右边分别念。

2、Africa：非洲

例句：Africa is the most multilingual continent in the world. There are over thousand language be spoken in Africa.（非洲是语言最多的一个洲，有超上千种。）

补充：multilingual adj.多种语言的，multi是一个词根，表示多种的、多样的，比如：multicultural多种文化的，multimedia多媒体的

3、Europe：欧洲

例句：Europe has got a major role to play in the field of culture. Ancient Greece is the birthplace of western culture.（欧洲在文化领域发挥了重要的作用(扮演了重要的角色)，古希腊便是西方文明的发源地。）

补充：两个词组

role：n.角色、作用、地位，get a role：扮演一个角色，get a major role：扮演一个重要的角色；in the field of sth：在某个领域；Ancient：古代的，Ancient Town：古镇，Ancient Greece：古希腊。

4、North America：北美

例句：North America is abundant in natural resources， including mineral wealth, fresh water, vast forests, and some of the most fertile soils of the world. All these have together helped North America become one of the most economically developed areas of the world.（北美拥有丰富的自然资源，由矿产资源、淡水资源、广袤的森林、大量肥沃的土地，这些都让北美成为世界上经济发展最发达的地区。）

补充：这段话会觉得有难度，主要是里面的很多单词不熟悉，be abundant in sth：在某方面非常富有，有大量的...；mineral wealth：矿物资源；fresh water：水资源；vast forests：广袤的森林；fertile soil：肥沃的土地

5、South America：南美

例句：South America is known to be the fourth largest continent in the world. There are very few islands found around the continent.（南美洲是第四大洲，它周围几乎很少发现有岛屿。）

6、Oceania：大洋洲

例句：Oceania is mainly made up of Australia and New Zealand.（大洋洲主要是由澳大利亚和新西兰组成。）

补充：词组be made up of由...组成；单独make up，也是一个非常常用的词组，有表示：和好、补偿、化妆、编造等意思，比如和好：例句 You made up, I am really happy for you. （你俩和好了，我真替你们高兴。）/ Let‘s shake  hands and make up.（我们握手言和吧。）

7、Antarctica：南极洲

例句：The greater portion of Antarctica is belonging to no person.（南极洲的很大一部分都不属于任何人、任何国家。）

补充：portion：一部分，a portion of my life我生命中的一段时光；a large portion of this cost:这次开消的很大一部分。
