Today is Sunday.
The Sabbath always began from Friday evening. Mama had to prepared for the meal on Thursday. She asked the girls who are going to the market with her. All the girls even the smallest one Gertie said yes, although the trip would be long for her. Mama didn't want to disappointed them, so she was going to take them all to the market. She also pushed a baby cart for carrying the goods they would buy, and in case Gertie felt tired Mama could put her in the cart too. They passed by library and the girls pleaded Mama to call on the library lady. Mama and Miss Allen were glad to meet each other. Then they continued to go to the market. There were a great amout of merchandise in the stores beside the street, kinds of foods on the stands in the front of the stores. The crowd and pushcarts made the street noisy and people were hard to move forward. The girls were full of joy in looking here and there at the stuffs they couldn't see on the normal days.
