Step 8: Commission the online controller
At this point,online controller commissioning is performed. You will use DMCplus Manage to start and maintain the controller,and View to monitor the controller graphically and make any necessary changes.Refer to the DMCplus Manage and View documentation for details.
Note: DMCplus version 3.0 and later provides a Web-based viewer. Check with your administrator to see if the Web-based viewer is available.
The DMCplus online control program is first run in"prediction mode" for a day or two to verify proper program functioning,and check the accuracy of the model. In this mode, the controller performs all control calculations, but the moves are not sent to the process.
During this time, informal operator training takes place. A brief operator guide is provided, specifying the objective of the DMCplus controller, the variables that it considers, the operator displays to be used,and the procedure for turning the controller on and off.
