Knowing yourpurpose simplifies your life. It defines what you do and what you don't do.
Knowing yourpurpose focuses your life. It concentrates your effort and energy on what's
important. You become effective by being selective.
I am focusingall my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and
lookingforward to what lies ahead.'
Life is a test, life is a trust,
and life is atemporary assignment. These ideas are the foundation of purpose-driven living. We
will look atthe first two in this chapter and the third one in the next.
Balancing YourLife
Live life witha due sense of responsibility,
not as thosewho do not know
the meaning oflife but as those who do.
Ephesians 5:15(Ph)
Don't let theerrors of evil people
lead you downthe wrong path
and make youlose your balance.
Living onpurpose is the only way to really live. Everything else is just existing.
What will bethe center of my life? This is the question of worship. Who are you going tolive
for? What areyou going to build your life around? You can center your life around yourcareer,
your family, asport or hobby, money, having fun, or many other activities. These are all good
things, butthey don't belong at the center of your life. None is strong enough to hold youtogether
when lifestarts breaking apart. You need an unshakable center.
