Being a transformer doesn’t mean you need to be like Optimus Prime and transform your body into an iron giant. It simply means we need to keep up with what’s going on around us. Sometimes things change so fast that one cannot notice it. As a result, old ways may not do any good.
Who Moved My Cheese tells us a story that of 1 pair of mice and 1 pair of little men living in a maze. They all have enjoyed the cheese around the corner until one morning they wake up to find that they have no more cheese—It disappeared. The men just walk about and give up as soon as they leave their comfort zone. The other mice, however, always have a habit of wrapping their sneakers around their necks lest anything bad would happen. So when this has happened, they just put on their shoes without hesitation in search of new cheese. At the end of the story, the lives of the human have become miserable while those of the mice have blossomed. The ending is reasonable as they have dealt with the changes in life with different attitudes. Life is accompanied by ongoing changes. The one who can keep up with the times will stand out.
The world is changing all the time. Eating behavior, say, is different from the way people did 5 years ago. In China，many used to eat out or cook at home. Instead, they are in favor of ordering food from Apps such as Eleme and Koubei. After some clicks and swipes on the phone, someone will knock on your door later on and give you what you have ordered. It’s convenient and easy. Those using the Apps save tons of time and energy if you otherwise cook yourself or go to restaurants. With some extra time, you could continue your busy work or play with your kids.
Some people could not change as fast as others. As ordering food from Apps has become part of people’s daily lives, the number of delivery guys is jumping. They do a good job to be honest. Addresses for them are like the cheese for the mice. If they can deliver the food to customers quickly, they can get top rating from them so as to earn more money. Sometimes, things are a bit tricky as addresses are not the same as always. Once the address is changed, some would go straight to the old place without second thought and phone the customer why your company is not at the location even if the new address has been upgraded. When you explain everything to them, they scuttle around looking for the new place. They would find the right place with efforts if they wish to. And yet some of them scuffle up and down like a fly having lost its head blunders about, and groan it’s never going to be found. Sometimes, their feet are just stuck there even though the target is just around the corner. When they face the same situation again，with a seemingly impossible mission in mind, they will no longer try but ask customers to come out to find them. Eventually, the givers get complained about and the receivers get cold dishes and a bad mood.
The world is undergoing changes day by day whether you like it or not. The conclusion is simple and clear: be a transformer, move your damn butt and run faster than the world.
