漫画之夜Leonard照常参加，几个人打趣问他与Penny如何，他说“还好”，大家认为还好就意味着不怎么样。吃饭时Howard提起这茬，Penny纳闷，Sheldon不顾Leonard的阻止还是说了，Penny羞得赶紧走了，Leonard追出去解释。两人看来都觉得不怎么样，于是喝酒助兴，喝到Leonard抱着马桶狂吐，Penny看了一眼他吐的，然后自己忍不住也开始吐了……
Leonard走后大家听到蟋蟀叫，Sheldon认为是雪树蟋蟀，Howard认为是普通蟋蟀。两人都用自己的珍藏漫画书打赌。赌完后费尽九牛二虎之力找到了那只蟋蟀，可是即使对着百科全书图解依然是各执一词，只好去找昆虫学家。被削减经费即将失业的昆虫学家吐槽不断，怼天怼地，不过还是抽空判断了一下是普通蟋蟀——Sheldon输了。
Sheldon去银行保管箱取回珍藏的漫画要交给Howard，在楼下遇到Penny，提起跟Leonard比较尴尬的问题，Sheldon说你们还可以做回朋友，我的珍藏可是一去不复回。于是Penny跟Leonard提起做回朋友，两人来了个临别吻，发现还有感觉……
