Cerifications are not Equal to Competency
Have you ever been distrubted by the dilemma that whether should you get more ceritifications or not? With inevitably changing in society, more and more students deem that considerable certifications symbolize their competence. However, from my perspective, I reckon that more certifications aren't equal to competence and students should acquire certifications in a accordance with their own condictions such as interests, majors, careers.
There are serval reasons for my views. Firstly, success doesn't depend on competence. One study has investigated that many employees,in mountainous certifications, have poorer operation in working than those in few certifications. Although having stored with enough knowledge,it's uneffective if you can't put it to effect. Because success is based on ability, knowledge and even the opportunity. Secondly,an ocean of certifications may make you at loss. When faced with seeking for job,too many certificates will offer you less alterrnative. So being crazy in getting certificates blindly is nothing but wasting time and being disoriented. Because you never calm down to think about why you have the certificates and what's your aim to future? What's more, hold the genuine and honest attitude to certificates. As we all known, there is a seed called vanity planted in the inner of our mind. Sometimes,it's observant that with mant certificates, one will go about with his nose in the air. Thus losing the social net of connection and gainning the poor reputation.
In a nutshell, anything too much will backfire. So moderately chosing the certificate that really suits yourself. And it's impertical to take a considration what field you are interested in and what certificates should you get. Rationaly treat the functions of certificates, remember certificates are not equivalent to competency. This is a long process that should be covered step by step and brick by brick. Only in this way,can your future be bright.
