《奥莉薇》中的主人公奥莉微多才多艺，鬼灵精怪，对任何事情都有自己的想法。
奥莉薇是一只小猪，她擅长很多事情，要说最拿手的一件事就是把人累昏，甚至常常把自己也累昏！
她会涂妈妈的口红、穿上妈妈的高跟鞋照镜子，还会吓弟弟。
要是出门，她还会把所有的衣服都拿出来穿一遍。
晴天妈妈会带她去海边，她会把自己晒成一条大热狗；
而下雨天，她则会去参观博物馆。她喜欢直直走到德加的《芭蕾排演》面前，那是她最喜欢的一幅画，她幻想自己有一天也能成为一名芭蕾舞演员。
不过有一张画她老是搞不懂，就是 波拉克 的《秋天的韵律30号》，她对妈妈说，这样的画，我大概只要五分钟，就可以画一幅一模一样的。
回到家里，她就真的在墙上画了起来。
奥莉薇是一个活泼又有自己想法的小孩子，和我们所有的小孩子都一样，不过她大概也知道自己给别人添的麻烦和自己的小欢乐，希望奥莉薇继续欢乐的生活。她会越来越懂事的，是吧！

This is Olivia.She is good at lots of things.

She is very good at wearing people out.
她最拿手的一件事就是把人累昏。
She even wears herself out.

Olivia has a little brother named Ian.
He's always copying.
奥莉薇的弟弟叫做小恩，
他最爱学奥莉薇了！
Sometimes Ian just won't leave her alone,so Olivia has to be firm.
小恩一天到晚跟着奥莉薇团团转，奥莉薇有时不得不对他“严厉”点儿。
Olivia lives with her mother, her father, her brother,her dog, Perry.and Edwin, the cat.
奥莉薇和爸爸、妈妈、弟弟小恩和老狗米花住在一起，还有小猫可乐。
In the morning, after she gets up, and moves the cat,and brushes her teeth, and combs her ears,and moves the cat.
每天早上，奥莉薇起床后要先把可乐移开，等刷完牙，梳理好耳朵后，再把可乐抱回去。
Olivia gets dressed.She has to try on everything.
奥莉薇出门前，一定会把每一件衣服都拿出来穿穿看。
On sunny days, Olivia likes to go to the beach.She feels it's important to come prepared.
晴天时，奥莉薇喜欢去海边玩。她觉得装备齐全最重要。
Last summer when Olivia was little,her mother showed her how to make sand castles.
去年夏天，奥莉薇还很小，妈妈教她在沙滩上堆沙堡。
She got pretty good.

Sometimes Olivia likes to bask in the sun.When her mother sees that she's had enough,they go home.
奥莉薇也喜欢躺在沙滩上晒太阳，当妈妈觉得她晒得像条大热狗时，就会喊她和弟弟回家。
Every day Olivia is supposed to take a nap,"It's time for your you-know-what,"her mother says.
奥莉薇每天都必须睡午觉。妈妈会进来提醒奥莉薇：“你知道什么时候到了吧！”
Of course Olivia's not at all sleepy.
奥莉薇当然一点儿也不想睡觉。
On rainy days, Olivia likes to go the museum.She heads straight for her favorite picture.
下雨天时，奥莉薇会去参观美术馆。她喜欢直接走到她最喜爱的画前面。
Olivia looks at it for a long time.What could she be thinking?
奥莉薇总是在这张面前一站就是很长时间。你猜她在想什么呢？
But there is one painting Olivia just doesn't get.
"I could do that in about five minutes,"she says to her mother.
不过有一张画老是让奥莉薇搞不懂。她跟妈妈说：“我只要五分钟就可以画一张一模一样的。”
As soon as she gets home she gives it a try.
奥莉薇回家后，马上就画了一幅。
Time out.

After a nice bath,and a nice dinner,it's time for bed.

But of course Olivia's not at all sleepy."Only five books tonight, Mommy,"she says.

"No, Olivia, just one.""How about four?""Two.""Three.""Oh, all right, three.But that's it!"
“不行，只能讲一本。”
“四本啦！”“两本。”
“三本好不好？”“唉，好吧，只能三本哦！”
When they've finished reading. Olivia's mother gives her a kiss and says, "You know, you really wear me out.
But I love you anyway."And Olivia gives her a kiss back and says, "I love you anyway too."
