Do you like traveling by your own or make plans according to the local pamphlet?
Most of the people in JP keeps on traveling from middle school because they can already earn money when they're 16 years old.
Actually, that's one of the reason why they work at a young age-so they can travel while they're young. Twice a year, they make it to a point to travel and they call it "travel for study". Sometimes, they take a trip with their classmates, with their friends or families. So if you asked the Japanese what their hobby is, they would definitely answer traveling.
Meanwhile, you may find a middle school student working on restaurants and supermarkets instead of learning in a school or reading in a library. They are familiar with flyers and brochure that contain their dream place. Aside from this, this little papers contains incredible knowledge like:best season to travel, local food, possible itinerary, even how much money will you spend and how can you get there.
One of my colleagues is planning to go to Taiwan next month because he needs time to release himself before going to a job interview when he comes back from traveling since that kind of power can arm him to work harder and go far and travel more places in the future.
