Hello everybody, welcome back to e-cubed. Today we have a greatest expression, boom, that's pure nonsense. that's pure nonsense. p-u-r-e, pure, and pier. Sometimes especially we say fast, it sounds like pier(发音), that's pure nonsense, that's pure nonsense, that's pure nonsense. So the slower we say it, it almost sound like two syllables pure, pure, but when we say it that's pier, pier. It sounds pretty short. Nonsense, that's pure nonsense, that's not true, that is a crazy lie, that's a rumor, that's bullshit, that's bs, that's not true, pure nonsense. So sometimes we hear some crazy things, for example, Shane did you know if you have a cold, and if you drink a pair of alcohol, and red perper powder mixed, your cold will be cured. that's pure nonsense. Many people do believe that. You will tell me drink warm beer, and your cold will disappear. That's pure nonsense. Come on, I do not believe that, many people beileve that. So, it's a funny expression, if you don't believe something, if you think somebody is lying, or if you think it's just a rumor, you can say that's pure nonsense. Listen to the dialog.
A: You are sitting too close to the TV.
B: I'm comfortable.
A: Your eyesight is going to get bed.
B: That's pure nonsense.
Did you mother tell you that, if you sit too close to the television, that eyesight will get really really bad. That's pure nonsense. Mom, that's pure nonsense. Maybe your mother will not like saying that, use it with you friends.
