We had a really beautiful 6-mile hike on the Redwood Creek Trail around the Muir Woods area, north of San Francisco.
When we started the hike in the morning, it was cool. As we hiked higher up on the mountain, sunshine became much more intense. Overall, it was an easy to medium hike, and we really enjoyed the view that green colors splash everywhere on top of the mountain. Although, I think I got some light sunstroke, resulting a bad headache. Headaches are one of the my least favorite things in the world :(
In fact, I was very prepared before the hike, with sunscreen, hat and water bottle. Still wondering why the sunstroke found me.
Any tip on hiking and avoiding sunstroke is greatly appreciated!!
