Recently I have read the report about the happiest countries in the world .The report shows that Norway ranks the first one in the list and America has slipped down.
Most people agree that societies should foster thehappiness of their citizens. The U.S. Founding Fathers recognized the inalienable right to the purse it of happiness. British philosophers talked about the greatest good for the greatest number. China champions a harmonious society.
As the world enters the dangerous next decades of the Anthropocene, we must intensify our efforts to achieve a new course, one that ensures poor countries have the right to develop, and all countries have the right to happiness, while simultaneously curbing the human-induced destruction of the environment. There is still time, though, to mitigate the damage and to build resilience to the changes ahead. The quest for happiness will be carried out in the context of growing environmental risk.
From my point of view, happiness is important for both countries and people .It also play an important role in finance. So we should take happiness seriously.
