In the last month, my team lead told me that I can choose switching to another team or leaving the company with some compensation because of the team is lack of budget at the moment.
A week later, I resigned and started to think my next life. For most people, lost job is really a dangerous signal. A voice keep saying: hurry to find a job, or you will be a tramp soon! Everybody looks forward a life of poetry and eclogue. However, just like the poor old man in movie The Shawshank Redemption, once a person escapes the institution, fear of separation from society and uncertainty to the future makes him want to back to the prison again.
We just like rat came out of one tunnel and then crawled into another.
This idea makes me some sad and badly want to try some different life style. I search the way to contact temples and plan to take meditation there, think about voluntary projects in the world such as teaching children and saving animals, and try to find tour pal for a self driving travel in Israel. But when calm down I realized those kinds of life are still a framework I want to depend on and another tunnel I want to crawl into.
Then I accept the fact that I can't have a real unconstrained life, at least at current stage. I can't live outside a tunnel, but I can make a tunnel as much as my wish. Kind of a zen thinking I accept.
In the next two weeks, I handled some long time no take tasks in the list. See a doctor because recently I cough a lot. Fix the water heater. Have a dinner with neighbor. Watch some awesome movies. Visit thesoil circle building in Fujian and go to Okinawa with my friend.
Back from Japan, stay at apartment with my ginger cat. I told myself the real wilder life started and don't starve. Just like the game with same name, I am in an open world, I need to control daily resource, go outside for living material, building my camp, prepare for dark and monsters, keep my sanity, and live as long as I can.
The first idea to acquire income is being a freelancer programmer. So I contact a friend of mine who is in charge of some software projects. I went to his office and talk to him. Luckily there are a lot of front-end work I can take. The tech stack is React-native and Vue which I never used before, not a big problem. The first task should be done by the end of the month. Good news is I still have time to prepare.
Another good news is my Onion project comes online finally and now I can write the first blog article on it. Currently I am building my own site, the URL should be:

Not finished, but coming soon : D
