Maybe I can share two example to display my design idea for you.
1 I like to record the interesting time and things on my travel life ~And I will choose the best or interesting thing,house,tree,hill,animal or others~ Then you will see under pic~ Of course, In the design process I will add something different into my illustration work , such as color,light,trees, and snow arrow,angle,square etc.~ This details would rich my work vividly~

2 I'd like to use of monochromatic color for my creative icons. When I design a cool shape , I will try different monochromatic untill It feels comfortable and proper for the case character.
Observing and Recording the interesting things is a cool habbit.
Daily thinking , daily Deigning or skething something new would make me feel better~
