Can a person actually learn a new accent? Many people feel that after a certain age, it's just not possible. Can classical musicians play jazz? If they practice, of course they can! For your American accent, it's just a matter of learning and practicing techniques this book and CD set will teach you——《American Accent training》
这两本书的内容大致包括元音、辅音、易混淆音(包括元音和辅音)的比较、美语的“t”和“r”、音节重读、单词重读、声调(语调)、连读、reduced sounds(at, for , from, from, or ,are,can, and 等的读法,这个不一定要全部会读,但是学习了之后对听力的提高有所帮助)

(1)Linking Consonant to Vowel,例如hold on.
(2)Linking Consonant to Same Consonant,例如She speaks Spanish.
(3)Linking Vowel to Vowel,即在元音与元音之间加入/w/ sound或者/y/ sound,例如go out 听起来像“go – wout”.
(4) Final Stop Between Consonants,
“In Chapter Three, you learned the difference between stops and continuants. Remember, when a stop is followed by another consonant, do not release the stop. The release creates a puff of air and an extra syllable. Make sure that good time doesn’t sound like “good a time” and that help me doesn’t sound like “help a me.””(这段是书中的原文)
Colloquial(口语体的)Reductions and Liaisons
I have got to go. I've gotta go.
