Recently I am reading little prince,there is a famous saying that it is the time that you’ve devoted to her that makes your rose so important. Similarly ,it is the time that I’ve devoted to Toastmaster that makes it so important in my life.
When you are looking for your Mr right ,we usually use the following rule. Start a relationship based on his attractive appearance ,loyal to his personality and addicted to his ability.
At the first time,the photo of toastmasters impressed me that everyone is so attractive in appearance. The thought if I attend this club,I will become more beautiful.Before joining in the club,three-time participation is necessary for both parts to understand each other better.Due to absence of speaking English for many years after graduation. The self-introduction is so terrible that I can’t remember anything now. However everyone in Toastmaster encouraged me instead of striking me. The friendly atmosphere made me think that Toastmaster has good personality.After joining in and act as a club partner. I try to do CC and other roles as much as possible. When I forget the sentences,the applause appeared. When I shook myself on the stage,partners appeared to warn me three stills,stand still,speak still and watch still which helps me a lot. When I finished the whole speech,Brenda will tell me how to improve my speech better.
One day,I gave a speech in the work.After the meeting,my colleagues told me that I have done a good job.They were moved by my enthusiasm and logic of my speech.
What happened ? They hare moved by my enthusiatsm and logic.That’s what I have learned from Toastmasters.
Before you have made a little progress many people will ask you why you consist in joining in the club.Do you speak English with in your work?Do you communicate with others in English?Do you think it wastes your time?To tell the truth,I am confused by these words. But now ,I tell myself, Yes just myself. Time passed if you don’t do anything. If you spend time on meaningful things.you will have one more ability to attract others.And if you have one more ability.you will own more opportunities in future.
It is the time that you spend in Toastmasters that makes it special and important for you.
Now ,I love this club deeply and I am keen in introducing it to others.Let’s make it a better club in 2018.
