I was reading an English book that called vanity fair, I was absorbing into the wonderful plot and distinct personal characters.
There was no bad guys in the story from my view, but I can tell the author was criticizing the actor selfish and indifference. even though it is fact, especially she treat her son so coolly, I still feel her strong vitality. Her extreme desire for vanity that makes her neglect family happiness, the admiration from men seems to be more important than enjoy current life. She knows how to get other men’s attention. What she only wants to gain is noble society position. That may be for her miserable childhood.
I certainly disagree one person no matter men or women to pay too much attention on society attention through giving up self esteem. To live a self content life is more important than a life that others admire.
There was also good character that I can learn from, she doesn’t put loving on too high position, she won’t lost in the admiration of men, always keep good condition in the front of others, she won’t give up herself and her goal in despite that I disagree. The sprit of pursuing dream is worth to encourage and be learned.
The less One person owns one thing that the more he wants to pursue. But we should know how to stop, the last moment we want is just peace in our heart.
