It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was, when so much bad had happened?

But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now.

Folk in those stories, had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going,because they were holding on to something.

What are we holding on to, Sam?

 That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for.                                                                ——  《指环王》

很多次重温《指环王》，越来越喜欢山姆，他是佛罗多的小跟班，是胖胖的且有些胆小懦弱的人，我们很少关注那些伟大人物周围的配角，绿叶衬红花的人物，可是我们却不能轻视他们的伟大。

佛罗多肩负着伟大的使命，走上一条艰险的充满危险的未知道路，山姆原本可以呆在夏尔快乐地生活，可是他却陪着佛罗多，跟随他，毫无怨言。

在路途中体谅佛罗多，理解他的怀疑和猜忌，感同身受他的压力，甚至多次想替佛罗多承担，以让他减轻痛苦。

当最后到达末日火山，佛罗多因为魔戒长时间的影响而差点迷失时，山姆依然坚持初心，一定要毁灭魔戒。

即使精灵告诉佛罗多他需要独自前行，我依然相信，若没有山姆这个单纯、执着又有希望的同伴，佛罗多也不可能完成任务，因为无论是精灵王、还是人皇。亦或是强大的巫师，都不可能一个人战胜邪恶，他们必须结为同盟，必须把后背留给彼此，共享勇气与希望。

就像佛罗多想退缩时回头会看到山姆坚定的眼神，就像山姆一直追随佛罗多前行的身影，去相信：这世上一定存在着善良，值得我们奋战到底。

当未来的未来，历史成为了传说，传说变成了神话，我希望听到的神话里有“勇士佛罗多和勇士山姆”的故事。
