【Answer】I would like to talk about a time I moved to a new apartment when I was in college in the United States. I have a very clear memory of it because it was the first time that I moved without the help of my parents. It was about five years ago, and I decided to move to a new apartment at that time because my old apartment raised the rent by a large margin, and I couldn’t afford it anymore. At first, I thought that this would not be a very difficult task because of my lack of experience at moving, so you know, I didn’t call anybody to help me. All my clothes were completely soaked by my sweat, and I felt like I didn’t even have the strength to lift a finger anymore. Still, after two days of hard work, the moving was finally complete. Even though I was exhausted, I still felt very happy that I moved into a new home all by myself for the first time.

【Answer】Okay, I’d like to share with you a TV series I’ve been watching these days called 13 reasons why.

It’s like, em, last month, I got instantly intrigued(吸引) by a recommendation from a famous blogger(博主), saying this show was rated 8.8 out of 10on IMDB(打分高达8.8. *IMDB类似美国豆瓣). Then, for the past month, I quickly finished the whole season(季), 13 episodes(集). Actually, this TV drama is basedon a best-selling book(畅销书), depicting(刻画) a story after teenager ClayJensen found a mysterious box with his name on. Inside he discovered a group of cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker-his classmate who tragically committed suicide(自杀) several weeks earlier. On these tapes,Hannah unfolded(展开/呈现) an emotional audio diary(有声日记), detailing the thirteenreasons why she decided to end her life.

I guess the reason why I quite enjoy this teen series (青少年电视剧) is, to my surprise, it made me think a lot about life, about how our different behaviors may cause negative effects to others we interact with. Seeing Hannah suffering from confusion and desperation(迷茫和绝望) the whole time, I really hope someone like her classmates or parents could give her a helping hand(帮助她). Sadly, nobody read her mind(了解她的心思) successfully and chose to leave her alone when she said so. I know somehow it’s also Hannah herself who pushed away those who wanted to be close to her.

Anyway, I have to say committing suicide is a super reckless decision(轻率的决定). Just like one guy inthe show said: suicide is for the weak. Instead of hiding or ignoring the problem, the better way to deal with depression is to go get help from others, telling them directly what you’re really experiencing.

Hopefully, this show could give us some insights(给我们一些启示) into cracking many of the problems(解决问题) that high schoolers(高中生) are facing, like suicide, school bullying(校园霸凌), drug abuse(毒品), and etc.

【A】The best news for me up till now is that my parents finally stopped forcing me to take the college entrance examination, so that I could focus on the preparation for the IELTS test.

Well actually that’s a long story, and I’ll try to make it short.

Um… my parents are the kind of people who are like perfectionists, and I’ve always been taught that I need to do everything well, which is pretty stressful you know. But growing up in a typical Chinese family, I don’t have too much right to decide my future or the way I am taught, except for my decision of studying abroad, they are quite supportive and open-minded about this, actually.

But the thing is, although they both agree that I would attend a university in a foreign country, they still wanted me to take the college entrance examination, despite the fact that I won’t need the score of that exam at all. And their explanation is, that experience is valuable for every student in China, I’ve been studying for almost 12 years, if I don’t take the exam, then it would feel like I am missing out on something important. Besides, they argued that what I learned in high school is also useful after I go off to college.

So you see, for about half a year, every day after school, I had to finish my homework my teachers assigned, and then I needed to stay up late until midnight to prepare for the IELTS test, which, without doubt, made me exhausted not only physically but also mentally.

So I had a heart-to-heart conversation with my dad, telling him what I truly felt and how stressed out I was, and he realized that I just couldn’t take it physically, because during that time, I always got sick.

So after serious consideration, my parents finally gave up, which was really good news for me.

【A】This topic reminds me of the time we took class pictures on graduation day.

Actually, we all had mixed feelings, on the one hand, we were pretty psyched about graduating from university and getting a diploma, on the other hand, we also felt a little bit sad ‘cause we had to say goodbye to all the classmates who have spent the last four years with each other.

However, when we took the picture, we still didn’t forget to be funny. I mean, we made ces and posed hilariously to the camera despite the photographer’s objection. He was so pissed off. I framed the picture and put it on my bookshelf. It would bring back memories from my college years. Every time I saw those smiling ces I would recall all the precious moments we had together during those four years, and I just couldn’t help cracking a smile.

【A】2 years ago, I was pretty satisfied with my situation, studying in a decent university, majoring in a promising field, and possibly embracing a bright future. I wasn’t as hard on myself as I was in high school. Instead, I stayed up late playing computer games with my roommates, slept in and got late for classes frequently, and played the phone while the professor was lecturing in the classroom. I managed to pass all my exams every semester, so I told myself that there was nothing to worry about.

Life didn’t come to an intersection until I made up my mind to further my study abroad. In order to do that, I had to pass the English test. I was very confident in myself. I registered the test, did very little preparation, and took the test. As a result, I was way off the target. I was very frustrated. I reflected my life, my attitude, and decided to make a change. After the test, I started to get rid of all those bad habits. I unloaded all the games on my computer, worked hard in the library in the evening, got up early in the morning to read English.

It wasn’t easy to change the habit. Sometimes I thought of giving up; sometimes I thought of procrastinating. But I told myself that I could do it. I was very diligent in high school, and I was sure that I could found myself back. God only helps those who help themselves. My hard work got paid off very soon. In the next test, I made great progress. The progress in turn boosted my confidence.

I guess the lesson I could take away from this change, is that I should bear a positive attitude to life, and stay hungry all the time.

Actually, I do really feel surprised because I love Disney’s Beauty & The Beast; in fact, it’s probably my favorite American animated film and i$ easily Disney’s finest work. It’s breathtaking; it’s warm; it’s hilarious; it's captivating; and, in Disney fashion, it’s magical. When I learned that Disney would be remaking their classic films, B&TB was undeniably the best wrapped package. How could they go wrong? Oh man, they went wrong. First thing’s first, this film is so flat The directing was dull and uninteresting throughout the entire fllm which contrasts heavily with the original animated film that was constantly popping with vibrancy^ The script too is boring because itfs almost a complete remake of the original, though I guess most people won't mind that In addition, the CGI is horrid. The CGI on the Beast's face is so distracting that it completely takes you out of the fllm^ Overall, this film is a complete bore^ And Ifm sorry to say it, but this film represents a huge missed opportunity for Disney. After all, it’s free，which might be the most comforting stuff.

【Answer】Speaking of an occasion that I had special cake, actually, I find it a bit hard to say as in my opinion most of the cake are just ordinary so maybe just the gesture is a bit different.

    So it was on my house warming day in the beginning of last year. I rented a new apartment back then because I needed to live close to school as my old house was over an hour away. As a university student, most of us are young and broke, so I told my friend that I didn’t want any house warming present and I would cook for them on the day. So instead of bringing me gifts, they all pitched in a beautiful cheesecake.

      The cake was round shaped, covered in cream with chocolate icing on the side. To be honest, it looked fantastic and I couldn’t help myself by cutting it the minute I saw it. As it turned out, the flavor was fabulous and we really did enjoy the night. Well, of course my cooking was pretty good as well.

　　As for why it is so special, as a matter of fact, this was the very first time I had a cake other than someone’s birthday. And my friends told me that the gesture of the cake was to ensure that I can have a sweet life in my new apartment everyday. I believe it was our friendship that made this cake so special.

【Answer】Well, I wanna talk about my first boating in a lake.Actually it was a big fish pond and the contractor didn’t allow boating in his lake.But a fellow of mine and I disanchored his boat and pulled the boat to the middle of the lake. We were very excited thatwe splashed water to each other. And suddenly, a big fish jumped out of the water and we became more excited and we began to strike the water surface with the paddles. My favorite clothing is a sweater made by my mother. This sweater was made to me before I went to my college in Tianjin.This sweater was black and long-sleeved with a V-neck. It is made of wool so IM always feel warm when wearing this sweater. As it suits me pretty well, I wore thissweater in winter 3 times a week to match other coats or down jackets in different color and styles.Since I was born in southern part of China, my mother worried that I would not get used to the climate in Tianjian, therefore she decided to knit a sweater for me. I’m really into watching figure skating, I find that sport entertaining and relaxing. The athletes, it’s like they are dancing to the music, I mean, they cut patterns in the ice and do jumps and spins, so watching the game is just like watching an artistic performance.

When talking about something that I have been wanted to do, I would really like to start my own business. It has been in my head for sometime but I do not have the money and resources to fulfill it yet You know it is not easy to run your own company. You need to take into account many aspects. First, I need a great amount of money to start off. 1 must raise enough money, or apply for a loan from a bank. I guess I would put in an investment of about 2 million first and see how it goes. Then I must choose suitable employees for my company. If someone would like to be a shareholder and invest in my company, he or she is definitely welcomed^ As to what the company does, I would like to make it an accounting firm because I myself major in accounting and I have lots of friends and former classmates to start with. I have a lot of friends, and most of them are still young. However, there is a couple, they both are my friends because we studied Chinese in the same class, and they got married four years ago. In my opinion, I think there is something very strange which is very hard to explain happening between them, for example, they always have the same ideas, opinion, and hobby. They especially like the same food and sport. Moreover, they never make decision without asking his/her partner opinion even a very small thing. In addition, when we have party, birthdays or weddings, they never participate separately. They always go by couple, in case a husband or wife can not go, the other will stay at home with his/her partner. As a result, they absolutely trust in each other. The husband always reserves the best for his wife, and his wife treats him respectfully. That is why I rarely see they have argument even a tiny argument. I admire them very much; however, I usually tease them about their romantic and lovely marriage. They told me that the most important factor which is keeping their happy marriage is they always respect the partner ideas, opinion, and thinking. Now they have a daughter, and their happiness increases excessively. Their daughter resembles both father and mother closely, and she is so lovely as well. If I were them I would be very happy and proud of the marriage, I would try my best to preserve my marriage because that is the most precious thing in my life. Water Lilies is a series about 250 oil paintings by French Impressionist Claude Monet .The painting depict Monefs flower garden at Giverny and was the main focus of Moneys artistic production during the last thirty years of his life. It is said that Claude Monets water-lily paintings are amongst the most recognized and celebrated works of 20th century. They were hugely influential to many of the following generations of artists. The paintings are on display at museums all over the worlds 1 was lucky enough to see one of the water-lily paintings displayed at the Guangzhou Art Gallery. At the first sight of the painting, I was totally amazed by its artful express. Some may consider impressionist paintings incomplete when comparing them with classical paintings, because the impressionist paintings include relatively small, thin, yet visible brush strokes, and they appear to be blur or hazy. But impressionist paintings do not focus on the accurate depiction of a certain subject, but try to capture the exact moment and lighting of the scene. The water-lily painting deeply impressed me and that9s why I choose to talk about this work of art.

　　Ok right then, well the English lesson I‘m gonna talk about is the one I had during my primary school, which I guess must have been about ten or eleven years ago by now.

　　It was the first time that I was given a class by a foreign teacher. At that time，our English teacher introduced an American young guy to us. Out of curiosity, most of us swarmed around him. Then, he had a free talk with us in simple but humorous English. He spoke quite slowly and clearly so that we could follow him well. Meanwhile，he would repeat just in time what students did not understand. Greatly inspired, most of the students took an active part in asking him questions and interacting with him.So the atmosphere was quite alive during the whole class. And... I have to say that through this lesson, we all improve our oral English and the courage to speak another language other than our mother tongue.

　　When comparing this to most of the classes we had at that time, where we basically just went through the textbook and took notes, it was a thousand times more interesting, and of course, meaningful.
