It has been very long since I wrote last article. Time flies and also I am very busy since last weeks, really got no time to do the writing. This week, I worked  one day of the weekend as well. Felt really tired, but no complain. Anyway, the viewpoint in this article may seem extreme to some people. Please understand this is just personal perception, no offense to anybody.
Since when I was very young, I had realised the significance of money in one’s life. If you were poor, your suggestion may taken as not important. The reason was that if you were very capable, you would be able to make money, and vise versa. That is, rich people usually have the right decision and are able to ask others to do at their wills. Just as Charlie Munger said “I decided to become a wealthy person at a stage of my life. It is not because I love money, it is to pursue a feeling of independence and freedom. I would like to express my viewpoint freely rather than being controlled by others’ will”.
Till I have grown up, I know there is no much relation between one’s capability and capital obained. It is also not practical for everyone to get big capital even if he maybe very capable or very diligent. I am not saying this is destined. Diligence, of course, is extremely vital to one’s career success. I am also not saying one should stop hard work since there is no proportional relation between pain and return. I am saying that if there is no pain, there is no possibility to get return. We should be diligent in our career life, or our personal life may become difficult or even tough.
As females, we are highly required to work hard. Yeah, to a large extent, for money. We need to earn money, at least enough for our daily life. It would be much better if the amount is able to cover extra enjoyment, such as clothes, cosmetics, education, travelling. In our nation, in society with thousands of years’ of male-dominated nature, where men has supreme power, females seem only capable of housework and baby-carrying. For such a long time, females have no career, they ask husbands for money and live at husbands’ wills. To a large extent, they have no freedom, both mentally and materially. It is good news that as time goes by, as social advance, till today, in the new millennium, females get more freedom and respect from males, from the society. A majority of us are able to go out of home for work and earn money by ourselves, we are free to decide the way we live. However, not every of us, not in every life stage. What a pity.
I am sure most of you know the mother-to-be who committed suicide in Shanxi province. I am sure most of you also know the extreme pain of childbirth, no matter you are a mother or not. A mother-to-be, kneed to beg his husband and mother-in-law to permit her to have cesarean. She was so weak that unable to tolerant the labour pain to give birth naturally. Maybe due to feudal thought that cesarean did harm to baby’s intelligent, or may be owing to the large expense of cesarean, her implore was refused which hit her so much that resulted in her death. What a tragedy, how chilling. What if the mother-to-be has enough money to pay the cesarean expense, what if the mother-to-be was fully respected in the family.
Several days ago, I read articles about womens' helpless and desperation when they have no money to buy cosmetic. They even have no money to go out when quarrelled with their husbands. They are housewives, get no job and no income, so they depend on their husbands for any expenditure. At the beginning, the men may willing to give, however, time after time, they may get irritable and haggle over every penny women used even if the women are their wives who they swore to protect and love for the whole life.
I know many of you have complained the hard work and envy the rich housewives. For several times, I held the same opinion. How great to marry a rich guy and then have plenty of money and plenty of free time. Needless to get up early in chilling morning, needless to stay up late for the work before deadline, needless to deal with tough clients and tough work.....However, as you all know, if we depend on others for income, even the people are our parents or husbands who love us most, we are unable to have fully freedom. We may able to gain material freedom, but it is far from reality that we gain mental freedom.
So dear friends, we are highly required to gain the ability to earn money, no matter how much the amount is. At least, we should have the capability and the will. I am not saying that housewives are not good, but to most people, it is better to go out to make money by ourselves, one penny is much better than none. Please do not believe mens' saying that they will support us materially in the whole life without any complain. Please do not give up when the work is very tough and laborious or the salary is tiny, it is rather different to use our own money to make a purchase or use others’ to buy the same thing. When they love us, we can accept their money, but it is the last idea that we live on their money.
In this world, male and female are equal. Hope each of us receive equality and freedom in each stage of our life. If we fail to get it, we need to fight for it, and the first step is to achieve financial independence.
