My dear friends, where has my time gone?
Time is like a beautiful young lady, she is around me, I can see her, talk with her, and touch her. I enjoy the time with her, I want more, however, she is like a goddess, I can’t have her.
Some smart guys told me, they have a magic stick to help me get more from my goddess. They called it “time management”
First, I should track my time, record my activities and the time.For instance, I spent two hours preparing this speech yesterday, and three hours joining the toastmaster meeting today.
After several days, I will have a clear understanding how I spend my time, and I can category my activities into four groups with two dimensions: importance and urgency.
First group, important and urgent, like deliver this CC5 speech on time
Second group, important but not urgent, think about my CC6 speech, or redo my CC5 speech
Third group, not important but urgent, for example, pick a phone call
Fourth group, not important and not urgent, refresh status in Wechat
According to this list, I should focus on the important things, and lower the percentage of urgent things, and reduce the non-important activities.
I want to delight my goddess, I decide to do it.
Several months passed, the magic stick does NOT work well. My goddess is not happy, and I feel tired.
When I record my activities, my goddess is sitting around twiddling her thumbs. When I refuse my friends’ dinner invitation, I can hear her slight sigh. When I am racking my brains for new ideas, she looks at me with sympathy.
What’s wrong with us?
She is a young lady, she needs passions. Sometimes she is rational, sometimes, she is emotional. I treat her all the time with the same rational way, she is not happy.
What should I do?

I am free of time management. When I have ideas, I stop routine work and write down them. When my friends visit me, go out and have fun. Feel guilty for stopping preparing my speech? No, forget the past, go home and work at night to make it.
I am leading and also being lead, like the dance. When I have feelings, follow my heart. When I am calm, follow my direction. I try to balance the rational parts and emotional parts.
I spend less time on the boring things, such as recording, checking, and detailed planning. I do things when I have the strong feeling, so I can do them faster and better with passion. I experience more flow state than before.
My goddess is much happier, I can feel she is more close to me.I get more and more from my time goddess.
