I personally believe that I am not an ugly-looking lady, to be honest, although in my childhood, the neighbours tended to comment me as being like a boy who was still wet behind the ears. People will alter with time, not only in personality but also in appearance. And the former factor has an enormous impact on the latter one. As for me, my physical appearance and manners began to change since I went to university, where I got the chance to learn about how to think independently and judge between right and wrong. Of course, the mentality also counts.
Before coming to Australia, I was already aware that there might be a great many local people who are likely to play with women rather than taking their relationship seriously. Although I was not raised in a so-called high-income family, I was regarded as the apple of my parents' eye, thus making me be able to resist the lure offered by those playboys. However, I am still lacking of the capability to refuse other people properly. What I learnt from a memorable film named "A Bride for Rip Van Winkle" was that I must be strong enough to support and protect myself. So even though it may not be that easy, I will definitely manage to say "No" to those smelly fish.
