Qiu's Rhetoric（72）

　　Ma Xiaoqiu:Experience teaches life

　　人生的每一段经历都是冥冥之中的定数，都是我们自己的前因后果，正如人生在世谁都免不了生病，这包括生理的疾病（物质）和心理的疾病（精神），无论是生理的疾病还是心理的疾病都免不了“痛”，肉体之痛（物质）、心理之痛（精神），痛从何而来？

　　Every experience in life is a definite number in the world.It is all our own cause and effect.Just as people in life will inevitably suffer from diseases,including physical diseases(material)and psychological diseases(mental).Whether they are physical diseases,or psychological diseases are inevitable"pain",physical pain(material),psychological pain(mental).Where does the pain come from?

　　痛从知觉中来，痛因知觉而存在；知觉由心而来，知觉因心而存在。故“观是假的，痛是真的”，这里的观是观照，就是用智慧看清事物的本来面目。生病是真的，痛苦必然是真的。那为什么又说观是假的呢？正如我本修行人，但我并没有真正摆脱痛苦。我病了，我痛了，真的痛了！这时候观照就是假的，并没有进入菩萨深入谛观的层次。一句话：经历了痛苦，但并没有从痛苦中悟到真理，并没有真正看清事物的真相。“观”是思想，是思维修，简单讲就是“想”。《心经》的第一个字就是观，观一切法，一切法包括我们的心身和心身以外的世界。

　　Pain comes from perception,and pain exists with perception;perception comes from the mind,and perception exists because of the mind.Therefore,"the view is fake,the pain is true",the view here is to observe,it is to see the true face of things with one’s wisdom.Disease is real,and pain must be true.Then why do we say that the view is fake?Just as I am a practitioner,I have not really got rid of the pain.When I’m sick,I feel painful.It is really painful!At such time,the observation is false as it hasn’t reached the level of Bodhisattva and deep insight.In a word:I experienced pain,but I did not realize the truth from pain,and did not really see the truth of things.The“Observation”is a thought and cultivation of mind and simply saying"thinking."Therefore,the first word of Heart Sutra is observation which means observing all laws including our mind and body as well as the world beyond our mind and body.

　　修行就是要实实在在地落实在日常生活的吃、喝、拉、撒、行、住、坐、卧、男女等等的具体行为中。观不能深入，不能观到事物的本质，故“观是假的，痛是真的”。当能够进入深入谛观的层次，方能悟得痛由觉知起，觉知由心起，无觉则无痛，无心觉知灭，心灭则法灭，法灭则烦恼忧悲伤苦灭，此时的观照是“五蕴皆空，度一切苦厄”之境界…..

　　Cultivation is to actually implement the specific behaviors of eating,drinking,defecating,urinating,walking,living,sitting,lying,men and women heterosexuality,etc.in daily life.The observation cannot be deep,and the essence of things cannot be observed.Therefore,"the view is false and the pain is true."When you can reach such level as deep insight,you can comprehend that the pain is from the perception and the perception is from the mind.If there’s no perception,there’s no pain;if there’s no mind,there’s no perception.If mind is gone,law is gone;if law is gone,then distress,worry and sorrow are all gone.At this time,the observation is the realm of“regarding all five skandhas as empty and crossing beyond all suffering and difficulty”.

　　I’m grateful to the initiation of the fate,to the fate and to everyone that helped me comprehend the truth on the way of my cultivation!
