At first sight, these flowers look like ancient hairpin which would be magnificent in jet-black hair of a lady probably in Tang Dynasty. They look ample and rich, which makes Tang Dynasty a perfect time they should belong .
They have multi-layer petals in clusters, which are purple but with white trims. In the picture, three flowers are facing downwards, as if the clusters were too heavy so that they have to droop. Another flower stands out by facing upwards, nearly fully blossoming, looking like a tilted purple cup.
The picture features the flowers against a backdrop of green leaves. The colors clash violently as if in a battle, well, of colors. It is surely not a picture you will get over with that quickly.
