“Have you ever wrapped Christmas presents?” — my boyfriend asked
“Eh...I don’t think so...as I recall, maybe I wrapped gift once or twice...well, in China we usually just go to gift shops, buy gifts there and have them wrapped there” — I answered
Yeah, I don’t use tools to make things by my hands, not even wrap boxes. If I need something, just go buy it, never think of making on my own. However, since I came to America, I have seen tool stores everywhere, they are not like the hardware shops in China, they are more like Walmart, huge, huge and gotta all kinds of tools that I haven’t ever known before. It does make sense why there exists such huge tool store everywhere, and most houses have a garage that is full of tools, since most Americans repair or even make things on their own. Tools in American are in high demand, and easy to sell out in garage sale, coz they are usually a lot cheaper than brand new ones.
Wrapping Christmas gifts is pretty easy but gives me a sense of seriousness to celebrate festival. Another traditional thing to do during Christmas is to make ginger bread. It’s called Christmas Ginger Bread, but actually it’s not a bread, it’s a house made of big pieces of cookies. They got one for me to decorate this cookie house with colorful lights made of candies. It takes a lot of time but fun to do, especially with kids.
