《Dear Calgary》 是一本书，SAIT在2016年毕业典礼上将它作为礼物赠送给毕业生。这本书收集了69封信，信的内容是加拿大卡尔加里在商业、科研、教育、文艺和体育等领域作出杰出贡献的企业家对年轻人关于领导力的经验分享和人生寄语。
这本书刚开始并没有受到我的青睐。书信的合成本而已，甚至不是一本严格意义上的书。它有时候被我从书架扔到沙发上，又从沙发挪到书桌上。它就那样悄无声息地躲在角落里，被我冷落了足足有半年。后来当我翻看了两封信，发现里面的话充满智慧，很启发人，有些言语令人警醒，不由得心生敬意，危襟正坐，索性一口气将书读完。
仿佛一位位亲切和蔼的老朋友向你娓娓道来，温和，睿智，优雅。信的写作者或者一直生长在卡城，或者从其他城市移居到卡城。他们热爱这个城市，在这里生活、创业、失败、成功。他们对所从事的事业富有激情，对居住的社区及身边的朋友富有爱心。身为不同领域的精英，他们积累了丰富的管理经验，取得了耀眼的成绩，是本行业优秀的典范。在这里，他们真诚地将自己的宝贵经验语重心长地分享给未来的年轻人，后继者。

透过这些充满正能量的话语，我看到了卡尔加里人对这片土地的热爱，对梦想的追求和人生的思考，也更加理解加拿大人怎样奉行自己的价值观，如何传承本地文化和传统；我也想起，我长大的城市并没有这样的书信留给后来者，我想起那些趾高气扬的“领导”，想起那些没有任何意义的官场套话，想起身边那些追名逐利或者随波逐流的人.......。在这本书里，这些可爱可敬的人告诉我们，领导力不是当老板，做对的事比做对事更重要，听从自己的内心，梦想大一些，给予比索取更快乐，坚持就是胜利，相信自己也相信团队......。书里说，“这些是智慧的珍珠”，我觉得也是。
