今天的章节充满了写作的干货，读完获益良多，总结如下。
一、开头
1、吸引读者

2、说明为何写作、读者为何要读
二、展开
1、注意段落之间的关系与衔接
2、增加实质性细节
3、每一段的最后一句要有亮点，形成引力。
三、结尾
1、总结是另一种形式的重复，会让之前制造的张力松弛，读者容易丧失兴趣。
2、好的结尾，它本身应该是优美的：it gives the reader a lift, and it lingers when the article is over.
3、take the readers slightly by surprise and yet seem exactly right. SHOW CONTROL.
4、在观点和事实都说完之后，尽早结束。（for the non-fiction writer. 很高兴看到作者给这个建议划了个范围）
5、最好能够升华主题或者用一句话表现出恰当的出其不意。
6、to bring the story full circle, to strike at the end an echo of a note that was sounded at the beginning. 前后呼应

之前只知道nosy是八卦的意思，这里nose about是探听、搜寻的意思，很生动。

根据例句” what shall we make of that?“ 我们应该做什么呢？这里的make of是指拿...怎么办，对...做什么吗？

pound做动词：击打、咚咚地走、心脏狂跳、粉碎、轰炸、大声播放，这个次有这么多意思，但是都十分形象，有内在关联。在这里的pound into应该可以理解为灌输、或者深深刻进脑海的意思。
