Part 1 : Something about project
In this project, I tried to learn more about environmental protection, and met a lot of lovely guys. There is no doubt that it will be an experience that I will appreciate for long.
We took some lectures about resources management, Sinhalese, AIESEC experience and so on, and went to 4 schools to do the presentation related to environmental protection.
About the presentations, most of students could speak English fluently and interact with us frequently so there were less problems than I think. Whenever and wherever we went, OC always stayed with us and always communicated with teachers in schools to help us solve the problems (for example, some problems related to equipment and whether students were allowed to dance), I was really appreciated for it.

Part 2: New Year Special Experience
2 boys and I went to an AIESECer’s house to spend the New Year. Just like a host family, we had meals together with his parents, we went to shopping mall together and bought some materials for cooking, we cooked Chinese food for them, we went hiking together, we got up at the same time on the first day of new year, we gained money with leaves, we played firework, we just like a family!!! For me, it just like a second home in the world !!!

Part 3: Travel Sharing
Colombo
With the help of an AIESECer, We went to Colombo by seaside train. It was the first time that we took a train in Sri Lanka, and the first time that we were allowed to stand or sit at the door of the train. Everything seemed warm and interesting. When we arrived in Colombo, we went to a Buddhist temple(visiting the Buddhist museum, talking about the history of Buddhism and the relationship between Sri Lanka and China).
On the second day in Colombo, we decided to feel this city with our feet (Rather than taking a tutu or a bus, just walking around this city the whole day). We went to another temple, a bookshop, National Film Cooperation, Independent Hall, National Museum, ODEL shopping mall, Dutch Hospital and Beta Market.
It is a modern city, as we can see a lot of tall building, use “pick me”, enjoy AC in many shopping mall, have a big meal, and we love this city.
Kandy
Before we went to Kandy, we knew that it was a holy city in Sri Lanka and there were numbers of temples. However, when we got to Kandy, we felt disappointed about its unsystematic and disordered traffic outside the railway station. Luckily we could also use “pick me” in this city, so we get to the hostel soon.
I have to mention that the hostel is was quiet good and it must be the best hostel that I experience until now. It is not a usual hostel, and it is a meditation center. Located in the hillside, people can feel the fresh air, hear the sounds from birds and enjoy the peace.
We also walked around the Kandy pool and visited a famous shopping mall (not far from railway station).
Nuwara Eliya, Horton Plains and Ella
Spent 3 days in this 3 places.
Visited the British park, tried the Indian food (Chicken Thali???), bought some tea and mail the postcards to friends in Nuwara Eliya. A really nice place and even saw a horse on the road!!! Went hiking for 3 hours in Horton Plains, visited the Mini World’s End, the World’s End and Baker’s Fall. Rented a scooter and visited the Nine-arch Bridge in Ella. Finally took a bus from Ella to Galle. A really long distance and wish high-speed train can realize soon in Sri Lanka!!!
