Yesterday, I sat down with Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden to discuss the commitment Mark and I have made through the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to help grow a movement to fund more science research so that we can tackle the diseases that currently stand in the way of so many people reaching their full potential.
The Vice President's work in leading the Cancer Moonshot is a great example of rethinking the way we work together and find cures for cancer. By leveraging experts across multiple disciplines – medicine, chemistry, biology, immunology – we can better understand and treat conditions like cancer, the second leading cause of death in the United States today.
