I resigned, from a great company, a industry giant. I spent my first 4 years of career there.
4 years ago, I joined there, as a fresh graduate. I was excited and full of hope. My first job had nothing to do with my major. But at that time, I believed that, major was not so important in career.
I was wrong.
Then I went through 4 years of mediocrity and, self doubt.
Over the long 4 years, I had been trying hard to learn the things that my colleagues had had mastered as students. When I was learning, they were working. I had been always left behind. I was so depressed and self doubting.
I tried to make changes, but nothing changed.
4 years later, when I have had enough of this kind of life, I gave up.
I resgined. I decided to take the job where I can take full use of my major to be competitive.
Major is competitiveness. Competitiveness is happiness.
