数字的学习不宜早，指的是在孩子对数字没有概念的时候，不宜先学习认数或数数。否者用到的是孩子的记忆力，而不是理解力，对数感的培养不利。
比如，如果先教孩子认1-10或者数1-10，就是在数感没有形成的时候认数字，孩子学到的是数字这个符号，而不是它代表的含义。应该让孩子从一个小物品（花生或糖果）不断增加到2、3、多个，让孩子真实感受到数量的变化。或者走台阶的时候数数。
如此培养数感时，引入英文数数和数字。数字的英语启蒙，可以从数手指开始。以下精选了我们使用与数字相关的英文儿歌、绘本、动画等资源，量不在多，经典，孩子喜欢就好。
1、儿歌：Ten Little Fingers 十个手指
手指摇，可以掰着手指来唱这首儿歌，孩子会很喜欢。

我们买的是合集，里面有五个故事。以第一个故事最经典，儿歌传唱最多，还可以做成手工游戏。
学会了之后，她就边在床上蹦跳，边唱这首儿歌。

5、动画片《Numtums》
是瑶很喜欢看的动画片，动画片用各种具体的物体和数字动物来演示每个数字的含义，而不是枯燥地数数。画面活泼，表现多样，孩子很容易理解数字所表示的意思。

6、亲子英文简单句
生活中的认数、英文数数也是很重要的学习和运用方式。关于数字的简单英语表达（部分摘录自《美国家庭万用亲子英文》）

这样，从儿歌、绘本、动画片，到日常亲子英文的对话，立体的英文资源浸润下，孩子基本能掌握10以内的英文表达，再增加到10以上20以内。瑶快3岁了，准确能数1-10。10-20的数字会说，但顺序不是很明确，我并不着急，也不想让她数的太快，就像中文数字一样，这个进度刚好。
