The first time I came across a BL novel, I was shocked. I never imagined such kind of love before, when finish reading the whole story, I cried, I was deeply touched by their love.
Love is not easy, homosexual is much harder. In reality, many people choose to conceal their actual sexual aptitude, and married with "normal" person who they don't love. That's not fair for both of them. But, how can they do?
After reading more and more novels about homosexual, I understand their struggle further. In novels, it's always happier than in reality, as all the readers wish a happy ending. Protagonists have to conquer their own fear, some people can't realize own inner aptitude until married with heterosexual. Then, they have to come out of the closet in front of their family. That's so difficult.
The most difficult part is to meet a soul mate. Lots of gay people lose the faith to find true love, some just do sexy with anyone. I believe every good person can find and worth a soul mate. Maybe less discrimination, less criticism may help them to step forward.
Once I do business trip in Chongqing, met a client. We talked about her friends. I always find she posted her friends' picture in Wechat, one of her friend caused my curiosity, she was very cool, like a boy. Client told me she is a lesbian, and has a girlfriend. I was shocked. It's the first time I heard real lesbian in life. I said their life may not be easy, they would have to meet pressure from family. However, client told me both of them have already got understanding from their family. What a wonderful news! So appreciated by their parents. I was touched deeply, tears came out from my eyes. My Client was surprised, asked why I cried. I said I was moved by their love. I know it's how hard for them to keep love and get support. She said it's good for them, but not good for their parents. She thought they are irresponsible to their family. But I think love is not contradictory with responsibility.
One of my sister's colleague is also a lesbian, she has been married for many years and has a son. But actually she didn't love her husband. She got married due to family pressure. She fell love with another woman in my sister's company. She could't help missing her, she always close to her and touch her, which make that women unhappy. After she confessed to her about her sexual aptitude, that woman was scared, she shouted to her to get away, she thought the old lesbian was disgusting. How sad......
Homosexuality is so much harder in our country than in western countries. Many western countries has already legalized the gay marriage, yet in our country, it's still forbidden to talk under the sun. A long way to go.
In <Modern Family>, there's a gay couple --Cam and Michel. They loved, married, and adopted a baby girl. Although Michel's father doesn't like their love, but he respects them, supports them. I don't think such kind of life is abnormal. Every gay people can live like that. They can make a family just like heterosexuals.
Homosexuals are not monsters, they should be treated equally. Nowadays, people gradually accept such kind of love, but still not enough. LGBT people still get hurt from our society. To change such situation, not only social organization but also government need to make effort. As individual, even you don't like them, please respect them.
I have read lots of novels about BL, I really like this kind of book. From the book I can find the most beautiful love, true love. Each time after finishing one book, I will recall the main plot again and again. Crazy me! I can't stand bad ending. So far, I read two books with bad ending, the one of which is <BeJing Story>. This book had been adapted to film-<LanYu>. An unexpected car accident took away Lanyu's life when everything began to going well. Heart broken down......
