We can cut our own beard, so why not hair?
There are several reasons I hate to go to the barbershop. Firstly, the barber always misunderstands what I mean. I want to cut my hair to the side and below the back of the head shortly; other parts of my hair keep on, but they always cut my other hair too short; looking back, I think they want to do more things for me, otherwise, I will consider to pay them is not cost-effective. Secondly, going to the barbershop makes me uncomfortable; I often need to wait, and when the cut begins, I always feel awkward when some barber sells to me all the time.
I tried to cut my hair twice in 2012 and 2017, but both attempts failed. At that time, I used only clippers with guide combs to deal with my hair, and the result was a disaster; I had to go to the barbershop for help or give myself a skinhead.
Recently, I successfully cut my hair by adding two tools. One is the three-way mirror; using this, I can easily watch my head's side and back hair. Two is a hair trimming guide that can Make my hairstyle symmetrical left and right. Since I have these tools, I found that men have consistently overestimated the difficulty of cutting one's own hair. I can handle my hair in 10 minutes by myself now, and I do not want to go to the barbershop anymore.
