Stormy night, I could choose to stay in my warm dormitory, seeing a movie, reading or chating with our roomies instead of taking bag , wrapped in a coat, going to take bus to the dance class rain or shine. Sometimes I think , human's perseverance is endless ! Decide to learn Latin is the most brave decision I've ever done. As long as you want it and dare to take step, you can really do it.
I don't know if here are lots of girls like me, are crazy and envy about those girls who have hot dance show in the stage graceful and confidence . At the same time, we complain about what a pity that we don't have chance to learn as we are adults.
When I was a freshman, the moment I saw a girl who gave a wonderful and powerful performance on the stage got applause, left me a deep impression. I also felt a little bit mixture of envy and a little not confident . I wonder if can keep learning since I was young that would be great ! Fortunately, that beautiful girl is my roommate. Privately, she is a very lively, modest girl, always permeated with a smile on her face . Everyone is very fond of her, she have a lot of friends .
She welcomed by dance group smoothly . See what I am interested in, but again hesitant has the look of concern"Hey , let's go !" She pursuded me to go the moment saw I interested but hesitant to try . In fact,out of my concern, there is no formal interview, but several mindfully senior, there to teach us how to hips, how to do a simple action. My fear and doubt was disapper. After that time, we could handle Korean dance full of melody and rhythm after several practice. Those charm and dynamic movement, we could also complete well. After the practice over and over again, we gradually can make a good show on stage. Remember the first time I learned to make up myself, wear the dance clothes, finish whole dance with confident after stay up late a few week for practice. That is unforgetable. When the curtain went up, faced hundreds of audience, every part of the body is ready for confident smile and successful performance.
Gradually, I have a better understanding of dance, not just shiny appearance. I can feel their love for the dance itself, training over and over again . Suffered from the pain which we can not imagine , they never give up. They spend whole their spare time in the dance room. They gain spotlight in front of the stage ,but the pain only known themself .
At that time, here is a strong voice in my mind told me, never give up before you done now. So I wonder if I could meet your childhood dream of Latin that I desire. Memories crowed in my mind .Unexpectedly I still try when I didn't remember all the lyrics and have no idea about background music, I finished the performance, shyly quickly ran off the stage in primary school . when I took a part-time as teaching assistant in EF, a very cute girl Lisa (up to now I don't know her Chinese name), only remember her energetic dancing appearance in break time . When I volunteered in Sichuan mountain area, a little girl who join the class. I deeply feel her happiness of satisfaction and the desire new things, rather than a disappointed gloomy in the country ,that is dance brought.
When I came back, I thought a lot, for myself as well. I am a romantic idealist . Even the future life is not like I imagine , I want to do something in my most beautiful age full of fantasy. To build a sweet and warm castle in my heart like the paradise in my dream. Even if one day, I lost myself from the world of society, I could still havea small world of my own; Even if one day, the unhappy things arose my heart waves; Even if one day, I achieve nothing , I can still tell myself that I insist on my little dream.
Finally , my dream came true. Remember the first lesson, when we entered the dance room,the moment I saw my dance teacher, I was deeply attracted by her charm. Later,some students left, there are three girls continue. Every girl is an independent and have a relationship with Latin. It is hard to imagine my teacher used to live in poverty, obesity . The girl who have to save money from food to achieve the dance dream . Now , she is a curvaceous which good income, but she still insisted on improving herself . See her scarred, I can imagine how she insist on complete good education at the same time, from an amateur dancers to reach the level of a professional dancer. Dance appears to have been integrated into her body and mind. Another girl named Zhou Meng, also from the country. It is hard to imagine that the tall and temperament girl full goddess used to be so out of fashion in the pictures when she was in the country. The long hair, tall figure and the fair skin, you would feel she is the kind of girl spoiled as a child, not a 19 girl who have to earn a living the city. Another girl is Xiaoyue, she's a freshman in a good university, full of curiosity , novelty and imagination. Like a carefree happy bird, make laughter every time. She prepare course , write essay and proceed the language in order to rich the social experience to study abroad . This holiday ,she volunteered in the poor area of Sri Lanka and farms in Australia.
No matter what the purpose is , girls still persisted in it . We can feel the free body and pleasure moment that dance brings .We enjoy the change and surprise that dance brings! We continue to go ahead, at the same time, full of passion and power.
