Finally, it is a sunny day, perfectly for mountain climbing. I dash to the bus station to wait my friends and start this trip. After a long drive, we get to the foot of the Mount Li where a Tong dynasty palace sits. We buy tickets and enter this marvelous and spectacular building.
In fact, it was used as a vacation hotel for the emperor and his concubines. We see a fountain with a stone wall behind it after entering the gate, which is carved with many Chinese characters introducing the palace. As the start of the journey, there are three ways leading to the mountain at the back. We have visited the palace before so that we choose to climb the mountain directly.
The first part of our mountain road is combined with the traditional Chinese corridors and it is not so steep that we can finish it easily. However it becomes a narrow and rough mountain track after that part with longer distance and higher elevation between two rest places. On the slope of the mountain, we see some aircraft and canons which were once used in the World War II. Finally, we get to the last part of this track, the longest one of all. We spend half an hour to climb on the top of the mountain.
On the top exists a beacon tower, standing on it make me feel relaxed. Because the temperature is very low there. We get back to the foot of the mountain by cable cars.
