英语要怎么说才地道？答案当然在英语国家的绘本中找。本周是读者梦舞点播的The Rooster Struts。这本绘本内容简单，但却展示了英语国家关于各种常见动物活动最地道的描述。公鸡趾高气昂地走，鸭子摇摇摆摆地走，棕熊拖拖拉拉地爬，袋鼠大踏步向前跳，在英语中又该怎么形容呢？宝爸宝妈们是不是挖空心思也就想起来run、walk、jump等通用动词？反正在读到这本书之前，小鹿最多也就再提一个crawl，倒是在亲子共读的过程中不断拓展了词汇量，也让自己的语言更加地道、生动。应试英语和日常英语的区别，也就在这点滴的细节中了。

小鸡试着趾高气昂地走。

Throw your chest out and hold your head high.
挺胸，抬头。
And walk.
向前走。
The duck waddles.
鸭子摇摇摆摆地走。

大鹅大摇大摆地走。
Both animals walk with small movements from side to sidelike this.
这两种家禽走路的时候都会像这样摇来摇去。
(小鹿查过字典，waggle和waddle都可以用来形容鸭子、鹅、企鹅等走起路来摇摇摆摆的动物，在此可以相互替换，没有特殊的区别。)

蚂蚁在地上爬行。
The bear shuffles.
棕熊拖着脚走。
Mommy bear and baby bear are playing with ants.
熊妈妈和熊宝宝在跟蚂蚁玩呢。
They observe the ants.
他们在观察蚂蚁。

他们吃什么呢？
They eat leaves.

They are tall enough to get the leaveson the tree.
他们足够高，能够得到树上的树叶。

小鱼水中游。
Fish are beautiful.
这些鱼好漂亮。
Which one is the longest？
最长的鱼是哪条？
Yes, the middle one.
是的，最中间那条。
Which one is the funniest？
哪条鱼最搞笑？
I think it is the one with thorns.
我想是有刺的那条吧。

哪条鱼最漂亮呢？
All of them are beautiful.
所有鱼都好漂亮。

老鹰天上飞。
Eagles use their long wings to fly high and fast.

Their sharp eyesights help them spot targets.

The frog leaps.
青蛙向前跳。
The fly flies.
苍蝇满天飞。
The frog leaps to catch the flies.
青蛙跳着去吃苍蝇。
The sloth hardly moves at all.
树懒一动也不动。
A sloth is an animal from Central and South America.
树懒是一种来自中、南美洲的动物。
Sloths live in trees and move very slowly.
树懒住在树上，活动十分缓慢。
We can find their hometown on the map.
我们可以在地球仪上找到他们的家乡。
