你們知道，如果時間真的會結束，那"時間"整個的意義就會崩潰。時間本身是不應該會結束的，可是一個"時代"是可以而且確實會結束。這或許就是偉大的瑪雅人想要告訴我們的。可是當然，總有可能只是他們刻日曆的石頭刻滿了而已。
佛陀曾說在可感知與體驗的世界範疇內所有一切都是緣的化現，而這些緣是跟隨發心轉變的。所以，有正確的發心，"緣"也可以是祥瑞的。如果這個時代真的要結束了，讓我們祈願這是我們愚昧的結束，同時也迎來一個覺醒的新時代。
再過幾天我們就會慶祝傳統的新年，在此我祝大家新年快樂。祝願這對我們大家都是有意義的生命之始，並祝願我們開始從原地兜圈的習慣中退出，並找到前行的新道路。

You know, if time were actually to end, then the whole meaning of ‘time’ itself would collapse. Time itself is not supposed to end, but an ‘era’ can and does come to an end, and this is probably what the great Mayans were telling us. But of course, it’s always possible that they ran out of space on the stone they were carving their calendar on.
Buddha said that within the sphere of the perceivable and experienceable world everything is a manifestation of conditions, and that conditions are manipulated by motivation. So, with the right motivation, ‘conditions’ can also be auspicious, and if this era really is coming to end, let us pray it is both the end of all our stupidity, and that the dawn of the new era will be one of awakening.
In a few days we will be celebrating the beginning of the traditional new year, and I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year. May it be the beginning of a meaningful life for all of us, and may we begin to retreat from our habit of going round and round in circles, and instead find a new way forward.
