Lesson67 Volcanoes
Haroun Tazieff, the Polish scientist, has spent his life-time studying active volcanoes and deep caves in all parts of the world. In 1948, he went to Lake Kivu in the Congo to observe a new volcano which he later named Kituro. Tazieff was able to set up his camp very close to the volcano while it was erupting violently. Though he managed to take a number of brilliant photographs, he could not stay near the volcano for very long. He noticed that a river of liquid rock was coming towards him. It threatened to surround him completely, but Tazieff managed to escape just in time. He waited until the volcano became quiet and he was able to return two days later. This time, he managed to climb into the mouth of Kituro so that he could take photographs and. Tazieff has often risked his life in this way. He has been able to tell us more about active volcanoes than any man alive.

[ə]原文中有: the[ðə]/scientist[ˈsaɪəntɪst]/observe[əbˈzɜrv]/a[ə]/ later[ˈleɪtər]/able[ˈeɪbəl]/violently[ˈvaɪələntli]/number[ˈnʌmbər]/brilliant[ˈbrɪljənt]/photographes[ˈfoʊtəˌgræfs]/river[ˈrɪvər]/liquid[ˈlɪkwəd]/towards[təˈwɔrdz]/threatened[ˈθrɛtənd]/surround[səˈraʊnd]/completely[kəmˈplitli]/quiet[ˈkwaɪət]/measure[ˈmɛʒər]/temperatures [ˈtɛmprəʧərz]/often[ˈɔfən]/about[əˈbaʊt]/alive[əˈlaɪv]
1)@[00.180]Helen - 石家庄 - 软件 violently的v感觉读成了w,number的u应该是ʌ,我看赖世雄音标书里面,ʌ和ə发音一样,但是音更重,但是原音和单词app发的都是类似啊的音呢,这个我也有点不知道给怎么发音了,还有man的梅花音可以注意一下呢;
2)@[00]Monica-江西-上班族 went to Lake多了一个a,parts 的ts我刷音标的时候和ds的嘴形是一样的,只是声带不振动,但是不是只发一个s的音,应该有点像次的音,brilliant感觉n没有发出来呢;
3)@【00】小包子-长春-供应商管理 scientist的aɪən感觉没发完整呢,world的l感觉没有发出来呢,violently的重音应该在第一个音节,brilliant没有读好呢,我也读不好这个单词;
manage to do sth. try to do sth.
