有些英语句子中出现一些貌似可有可无的“闲字”，没有它们好像也不大影响句子总体的意思；有了它们句子读起来好像口感味道好一些。我把这些词组戏称为“味精词组”
。废话少说，无例句无真相：
1. For one（强调语气词组）
I felt like a total sham.
我觉得自己完全就是个假冒伪劣产品。
I for one felt like a total sham.
我绝对觉得自己就是个假冒伪劣产品。

All told（总之，总体来说）
Liabilities were down 50 % on a year ago
负债比一年前下降了50 % 。

3. The way I saw it（在我看来）
Hey, you need to grow up first.
喂，你还是先成熟起来再说吧。

4. Before I knew it（不知不觉）
The holiday came to the end.
假期结束了。
The holiday came to the end before i knew it
不知不觉地假期结束了。
5. Suffice it to say（无庸赘言）
Mike won't be going to Tina's birthday party after what he said about her to her boss.
迈克对蒂娜的老板那样说了她之后，他是不会去参加她的生日聚会的。
Suffice (it) to say, Mike won't be going to Tina's birthday party after what he said about her to her boss.
勿庸赘言，迈克对蒂娜的老板那样说了她之后，他是不会去参加她的生日聚会的。
6.. Make no mistake（毫无疑问）
The american people are terrified.
美国人民正在担惊受怕。
Make no mistake , the american people are terrified.
毫无疑问，美国人民正在担惊受怕。
7. For that matter（就此而言, 其实）
Do not talk like that to your mother , or to anyone else.
不要跟你母亲那样说话，跟谁也不要那样。

从上面的例句可以看出，有了这些“味精词组”，句子的口感还是不一样了。但是也要注意：味精放多了，会口渴得很，反而影响食欲了！
