I found my mother outside talking to Mrs. Loski. Mom had given her the beautiful lemon（柠檬） Bundt cake that was supposed to be our dessert（餐后甜点） that night. The powdered sugar looked soft and white, and the cake was still warm, sending sweet lemon smells into the air.
My mouth wa watering（流口水） just looking at it ! But it was in Mrs. Loksi's hands, and I knew there was no getting it back. All I could do was try to eat up the smells while I listend to the two of them discuss grocery stores（杂货铺） and the weather forecast（天气预报）.
After that Mom and I went home. It was very strange（陌生的/奇怪的）. I hadn't gotten to play with Bryce at all. All I knew was that his eyes were a dizzying（灿烂的） blue, that he had a sister who was not to be trusted, and that he'd almost kissed me.
I fell asleep that night thinking about the kiss that might have been. What did a kiss feel like, anyway? Somehow I knew it wouldn't be like the one I got from Mom or Dad at bedtime. The same species（物种）, maybe, but a radically（根本的） different beast（野兽）, to be sure. Like a wolf and a whippet（专门赛跑的狗）----only science would put them on the same tree.
Looking back on the second grade, I like to think it was at least partly（一定程度） scientific（科学的） curiosity（好奇心） that made me chase after that kiss, but to be honest（说实话）, it was probably more those blue eyes. All through the second and third grades I couldn't seem to stop myself from following him,from sitting by him,from just wanting to be near him.
By the fourth grade I'd learned to control myself. The sight（眼神） of him---the thought of him---still sent my heart humming（澎湃）. but my legs didn't actually chase after him anymore. I just watched and thought and dreamed.
简意：
当我走出门口时，看见妈妈正和洛奇先生聊天。突然，我闻到了空气中弥漫着柠檬的味道，甜甜的。果不其然，妈妈把我们的餐后甜点送给了洛奇先生，它是那么的酥软可口，我都快要流口水了。可是，我知道，这已经成了洛奇先生家的蛋糕，我趁他们聊天之际，赶紧吸允空气中残留的芳香。
跟妈妈一起回到家后，我就觉得很奇怪，我以后可能不能去找布莱斯玩了，他姐姐很凶，关键是他吻了我。
晚上，那个吻伴我入睡。
布莱斯的吻到底是什么感觉呢？反正跟爸爸妈妈的晚安吻不一样。虽然是一个物种，但是却有着本质的区别。就像狼和狗---只有科学可以把他们联系在一起。
整个二三年级，我都像块狗皮膏药一样粘着他，我离不开他。
但是到了四年级，我开始试着控制我自己的行为。但是他的眼神，他的想法，无一不让我的心怦怦乱跳。我没有再粘着他，我只是远远的看着，想着，梦着。
后记：
说实话，这可能是布莱斯人生的巅峰，一个漂亮的小女孩屁颠儿屁颠儿的跟着他^_^。
