A Companion For Life
She married her lab partner.Looking for a place to do her own research in 1894,Marie was introduced to chemist Pierre Curie,lab director of the Municipal School of Industrial Physics an Chemistry in Paris.Pierre cleared space for her in the lab,and the two hit it off.Affording to Marie,“Our work drew us closer and closer,until we were both convinced that neither of us could find a better life companion.”(工作让我们越走越近，直到我们相信彼此都找不到更合适的伴侣）
In a love letter to Marie,Pierre wrote:

The two were married in the summer of 1895.Marie wore a dark blue outfit that she continued to wear in her lab for years afterward.
The last three letters of both Marie and Curie end with the letter R,I,and E,which are amazingly the 18th,9th,and 5th letters of the Frech alphabet where 18,9 and 5 put side by make 1893!Further,Marie turned 28 later that year where twice 28 equals 56,the sum of the numbers assigned to the letter of Curie.
