* N – a numeric version of a variable named *
* GRy – a grouping of a variable named *
* GRyN – a numeric version of a grouping of a variable named *
RACE, RACEN, RACEGRy, RACEGRyN
* FL – character flag
* FN – numeric version of character flag
Permissible addition but must include char flag
ADaM Date and Time Variables
* DY – a relative day (no day 0)
* DT, *TM, *DTM – numeric date, time, datetime
Date and time portions of *DTM must agree with *DT and *TM if present
Imputation flags are required if any value in a *DT, *TM or *DTM is fully or partially imputed.
*DTF – date imputation flag (Y, M, D, null)
Largest degree of date imputation of *DT or *DTM
*TMF – time imputation flag (H, M, S, null)
Largest degree of time imputation of *TM or *DTM
Exception - no need to indicate ‘S’ in *TMF when only hours and minutes can be collected
