四大组件的运行状态

  • Activity:
    展示一个界面并和用户交互,它扮演的是一个前台界面的角色。

  • Service:
    计算型组件,用于后台执行一系列计算任务,运行在主线程,分为启动状态和绑定状态。

  • BroadcastReceiver:
    消息型组件,它工作在系统内部,不合适用来执行耗时操作,主要用于不同组件或不同应用之间的消息传递。

  • ContentProvider:
    数据共享型组件。

Actiivity 的工作过程

常见的 Activity 启动方法:

进入到 Activity 中的 startActivity 方法中,调用 startActivityForResult;

进入到 Instrumentation 的execStartActivity中,Activity 的真正实现由ActivityManagerNative.getDefault().startActivity来完成的。checkStartActivityResult的作用是检查启动 Activity 的结果。

ActivityManagerNative 是一个Binder 类继承了 IActivityManager,gDefault是一个 IActivityManager 的 Binder 对象,它是一个单例的封装类,get 方法就是初始化。

mActivityStarter.startActivityMayWait又将我们带入 ActivityStarter 中,源码很长,跟书中已经有些许不同,根据我下图的顺序可以正确的查看源码顺序。

上面这段代码很重要, app.thread 的类型为 IApplicationThread

IApplicationThread 是一个 Binder 类型的接口。内部包含了大量启动、停止 Activity 的接口,此外还包含了启动和停止服务的接口。

ApplicationThread 通过内部方法scheduleLaunchActivity发送一个启动 Activty 的消息交由 Handler 处理。

Handler H 对 “LAUNCH_ACTIVITY” 进行处理:

performLaunchActivity方法最终完成了 Activity 对象的创建和启动过程,handleResumeActivity方法就是调用 Activity 的onResume 这一生命周期方法。

下面分析 performLaunchActivity

  1. 从 ActivityClientRecord 中获取待启动的 Activity 的组件信息

从 makeApplication 的实现可以看出,如果 Application 已经被创建过了,就不会再重复创建。Application 对象是由 Instrumentation 来完成的,也是通过类加载器来来实现。之后系统会使用instrumentation.callApplicationOnCreate方法来调用 Application 的 OnCreate 方法。

ContextImpl 是一个很重要的数据结构,它是 Context 的具体实现,ContextImpl 通过 Activity 的 attch 方法来个 Activty 简历关联的,在 attch 方法中 Activty 还会完成 Window 的创建并简历自己和 Window 的关联。

Service 的工作过程

两种工作状态;

  • 启动状态

Service 的启动过程

startService:

Activity 创建时通过 attach 方法将一个 ContextImpl 对象关联起来,mBase 就是这个对象。(设计模式:桥接模式),下面看 ContextImpl 的 starService 的实现。

上述代码通过 ActivityManagerNative.getDefault().startService(AMS)来启动服务的行为是一个远程过程调用。

realStartServiceLocked方法中,通过 app.thread 的 scheduleCreateService 方法来创建 Service 对象并调用其 onCreate,接着通过 sendServiceArgsLocked方法来调用 Service 的其他方法,比如 onStartCommand,这两个过程均是进程间通信。

app.thread 对象是 IApplicaitionThread 类型,实际就是 ActivityThread 的内部类 ApplicationThread(分析 Activity 的时候介绍过);

handleCreateService 主要完成了如下几件事:

  • 首先通过类加载器创建 Service 的实例;
  • 然后创建 Application 对象并通过 Service 的 attach 方法建立二者之间的关系
  • 最后调用 Service 的 onCreate 方法并将 Service 对象存储到 ActivityThread 中的一个列表中;

realStartServiceLocked方法中还会调用sendServiceArgsLocked方法,最终通过 Handler H调用handleServiceArgs方法,接着就会调用 onStartCommand

LoadedApk 的`getServiceDispatcher` 方法将客户端的 ServiceConnection 对象转化为 getServiceDispatcher.InnerConnection 对象。因为服务的绑定有可能是跨进程的,因此 ServiceConnection 对象必须借助于 BInder 才能让远程服务端回调自己的方法,而 ServiceDispatcher 的内部类 Innconnection 刚好充当这一角色。


mServices 是一个 ArrayMap,它存储了一个应用当前活动的 ServiceConnection 和 ServiceDispatcher 的映射关系。在 ServiceDispatcher 内部保存了 ServiceConnection 和 InnerConnection 对象。

接着返回`bindServiceCommon`方法后半段,`ActivityManagerNative.getDefault().bindService`调用 AMS 的 `bindService`方法:

`handleBindService`中首先会根据 Service 的 token 取出 Service 对象,然后调用 Service 的 onBind 方法,Service 的 onBInd 方法会返回一个 BInder 对象给客户端使用,此时 Service 已经处于绑定状态,但是 onBind 是 Service 的方法,还需要调用客户端的 ServiceConnection 中的 onServiceConnected 来通知客户端,这个过程由`ActivityManagerNative.getDefault()`(AMS)的`publishService`方法:

`publishServiceLocked`核心代码只有一句话:`c.conn.connected(r.name, service);`,它调用了 LoadedApk 的
 ServiceDispatcher.InnerConnection 类型的`connected`方法,service 是 onBind 方法返回的 Binder 对象。

## BroadcastReceiver 的工作过程

#### 广播的注册过程

动态注册:

代码很长,关键点就上面这部分,最终会把远程的 InnerReceiver 对象以及 IntentFilter 对象存储起来,这样整个广播的注册过程就完成了。


####广播的发送和接收过程

发送一条广播:

在 Android 3.1 中,默认广播不会发送给已经停止的应用,因为系统给 Intent 默认添加了**FLAG_EXCLUDE_STOPPED_PACKAGES**标志。
- **FLAG_EXCLUDE_STOPPED_PACKAGES:**表示广播会发送给已经停止的应用 ;
- **FLAG_INCLUDE_STOPPED_PACKAGES:**表示广播不会发送给已经停止的应用;

两种标志共存时,已**FLAG_INCLUDE_STOPPED_PACKAGES** 为准。

在`broadcastIntentLocked`方法内部,会根据 intent-filter 查找出匹配的广播接受者并经过一系列的条件过滤,最终将满足条件的广播接受者添加到 BroadcastQueue 中,接着 BroadcastQueue 就会将广播发送给相应的广播接受者。

无序广播存储在 mParallelBroadcasts 中,系统会遍历 mParallelBroadcasts 并将其中的广播发送给它们所有的接受者,具体发送过程通过`deliverToRegisteredReceiverLocked`来实现,它内部有一个方法`performReceiveLocked`

Args 实现了 Runnable 接口,里面 run 方法中执行了 BroadcastReceiver 的 onReceive 方法。也就是说应用到这里就能接收到广播了,同时 onReceive 方法是在广播接受者的主线程中被调用的。
